We would have to wait three to four years in order to see Brandon Roy win a championship.

07-05-2009, 08:26 PM
Roy's a good player but I gotta go with Melo.

07-05-2009, 08:27 PM
I went with Roy becuz It's a matter of time b4 Portland become true championships contenders while denver is a here and now team unless carmelo leaves or they some how get a steal in trade i think they'll be on the decline soon with LA and spurs are getting better

07-05-2009, 08:34 PM
Right now ill go with Option C-Neither

07-05-2009, 08:34 PM
Melo if he stays with the Nuggets and they continue to build around the core of Melo, Billups, Smith, and Nene

I just don't see Denver winning the title with Billups, not because he isn't great but because he has a short window. Plus, with San Antonio getting Jefferson, I don't know if they are a top 5 team in the league. Roy's #2 in L.A. is way young, and Portlands current incarnation has a much bigger window than Denvers, especially if Oden lives up to half his hype.

Denver would need to win right now, and like I said, I dont think they are top 5 (despite their valliant effort in the WCF). Portland if they play it smart, could dominate the West when the Lakers and Spurs decline.

I would have to go with Melo although I hope Roy does first.

07-05-2009, 08:41 PM
they won't win any.. not for the next 5 years.

07-05-2009, 08:46 PM
They should have a poll option for neither.

I love Roy, but Melo has the team right now.

I think Roy will only win one if Oden develops.

Shoot, I'm gonna go out of a limb and say Melo gets a ring before Lebron.

07-05-2009, 10:05 PM
They both have very good teams, but I went with Carmelo Anthony.

I chose Roy because he is on an up and coming young team. They are the 2nd youngest team in the NBA and have a lot of talent. Also will have more salary cap available once they get Darius Miles off the books. In my opinion, Carmelo needs to get out of Denver to win a title.

went for roy, because they are younger and more talented. but i like denver a lot, too

Possibly none...Now that kobe signed a 3 year extension, know one will win **** until he retires..The guy is unstoppable...Thats why all these teams are stock piling..But you only play 5 on the field when the game is on the line..Once he retires i would wade and lebron have a better shot..

Melo has the best chance, but neither of them are winning one any time soon. The Lakers and the Spurs will be battling it out in the West this year with the Nuggets being the 3rd best team.

07-06-2009, 12:14 PM
neither at this point. not anytime soon at all. roy has a SLIM chance of winning as "the man" because he could be a solid distributer to an equal talent, but IMO melo will never win as the best on the team.

07-06-2009, 01:28 PM
I chose Melo:

Melo is the superior player who just last year became a great all around player. He doesn't just score now, he plays great defense and distributes the ball.

Melo has a more veteran team that is geared to play great defense and has great scorers.

Melo is incredibly clutch.

and finally, reason #1:

Roy has a young team that's going to want a lot of salary beginning next season. They might not be able to keep the team together.

i dont c Nuggets winning a title, i mean Billups is going to have 2 more good season, and with the emergence of Lakers, Spurs & Magic, i just dont c Nugz beating them. And Portland is an up-and-coming team, so i went with B-ROY.

07-06-2009, 03:56 PM
right now ill go with option c-neither

I am voting that because these guys are not goin to win one in the near future.
