Historically, NY has produced alot of good ballers (Kareem, Dr J, Connie Hawkins, Chris Mullin, Mark Jackson, Kenny Anderson, Rafer Alston to name a few) and currently continues to (too many to write). L.A. (especially Southern CA) has a good amount of ballers. D.C., MD, and NC are in the mix. Philly has a small handful of ballers.

ummm no sorry buddy, not oakland. not to be biased but its chicago. you had guys like isaiah thomas, dwayne wade, derrick rose, kevin garnett, should i go on? come from this city. also, espn and sports illustrated, espn being more recent did a article about what state and city where the best ballers come from and both ranked chicago and the whole state of illinois as the top state and city followed by michigan being number 2.

and i believe the all chicago high school team again, just beat the crap out of the new york all high school team for the i forget consecutive year in a row

Wow, no love for Indianapolis. We grow basketball players here. Current players in the league right now from just Indianapolis are Greg Oden, Mike Conley, Eric Gordon, Courtney Lee, George Hill, Josh McRoberts, Jeff Teague, Rodney Carney, and Robert Vaden, which is a record for most players in the league from one city.
