joey votto is batting .368 right now (granted he has been hurt) he is a phenominal hitter and I believe he will be a superstar in this league once he overcomes some of his anxiety issues.

I know he plays in a small market team like the reds but does anyone else think he should get more credit for his phenominal play? i mean he is not even in any of the discussions to go to the all-star game at all. i know pujols deserves 1b over him for sure but this guy is great.

4-6 today with the game winning hit in the 10th.

what do you all think about votto?

Liked the kid the first time i saw him, hes an absolute beast. I just hope he doesn't go to boston/NY and stays a red for his career.

I also dont want him in NY either, even though I am obviously a Yankee Fan. And of course I dont want him to go to Boston. And I dont think he will go to the Yankees anyway cause of Tex. He is a complete stud, one of the young up and coming stars in the MLB.

He will be a very good player for years to come, they have a pretty nice young core in Cincy.

i just hope cincy can get back to somewhat of the legacy it had in the past.

i think it would be good for baseball as a whole.

Cueto, Volquez, Phillips, Votto and Bruce is def a nice young core to build around (excuse me if I missed some other up and comers) With their upper echelon farm as well they should be good really soon, especially considering they are making some noise now.

He will be pushed off first base in a year because Yonder Alonso cannot play anywhere else. The Reds will either have to play him in RF or trade him.

You mean LF or move Alonso to LF or trade Alonso. They won't trade Votto.

yeah there is no way he will get traded.
But boston wouldn't mind him :)
