What's up with this ? Allen Iverson could have an early retirement ? Earlier today on ESPN I saw a video on free agents about where they might land and the guy had said Iverson could face an early retirement? He has made Detroit a little down but hey he has to get an offer. Its A.I. RIGHT ? Look my point is that the role A.I had taken last year was difficult for him. Yea i understand the bench thing but he went from avg. 40 min a night to about 18-25 min. ITS ALLEN IVERSON. THE GUY WHO UM MADE THE ALL STAR FOR YOUR TEAM ! While your guys couldnt change a lil. Think about it, RIP was struggiling after Billups got traded & never really got back on track. People make Iverson seem old when we ALL know that he can still dominate. NO, not like before but he can still give you 23.0 ppg BUT NOT WITH 18 MINUTES !!!. Yea it didnt work in the beging because the 3 gaurd spot in the starting line up went wrong. You change it up but dont start STUCKY & expect to be in the east championships again. Detroit Messed up A.I repp now. && Next year we will see it wasnt A.I ! We will see that by the production of Gorden & villinueva. Watch there numbers drop. But anyways where will Iverson go & can he contend for a campionship where ever he goes ????

It seems not a lot of teams want a player who has attitude problems, is an undersized SG who sucks on defense, and wants to be the #1 guy...when he isnt that kind of player anymore.

I dont blame them.

I honestly can't see any other team signing him. If that, he'd probably stay a Pistons.

Charlotte will get AI3 for one year, two tops and he will drop 25+ppg this year and next then retire

Yea he can but i thinkk he will end up a Bobcat. Him and Larry Brown will reunite in Charlotte. It would be an okay fit for him. He is a great player with limited places to go but i think he will ge an offer

Bobcats would take him, they were last in scoring last year so he'd be a good pickup for this year and maybe next. Plus in charlotte he can get his 25+ ppg in and retire believing he never lost a step, so everyones happy (I know he doesn't win a championship, but it isn't as important to him as his pride and everyone can relate to that at one point in their lives)

he doesnt have to be the number one guy but josh he cant be last. hes the only one that made the all star team. you cant put him behind bynum. seriously ! do you think 18 minutes is fair for what Iverson did thruout his career statisticly??

After the Knicks lose out on J Kidd to Dallas they will aqcuire A.I. for a one year mid-level and he will excel in D'Antoni's system so he can get another larger contract in 2010. Bank on it!

Isnt taking MLE just as bad as coming off the bench. A.I will demand more than that or retire

Dallas needs some one who can score, why not.

To me, the logical destination for AI is Chicago. It looks like they lost Gordon so they need a scorer...and who better than AI??

one word RETIRED!!!

no one will sign him after his "playing time" injury

lets not forget what he said after he joined the pistons

I will do WHATEVER it takes to win a title

3 games after coming off the bench he has a sudden back injury
you are my 3rd favourite player AI but **** you

If Dallas loses Kidd, I could see them trying AI out. He's still got something left, he's not done.

I got a feeling chicago might go after him, him and rose would be a pretty nasty pair

He has 2 choices sadly
1.Non-contender for MLE
2.Early retirement

Probably one of the best scorers in nba history can't even get a gig.

vandoc is kind of right but your talking about ONLY a one or two year deal (thats the most years they want to sign him for,2 years) where is chicago gonna get with Iveson in 2 years. unless they add other pieces because if they dont it would just be chicago all over again & worst because the league is only getting better ! Iverson will go best with Charlotte Bobcats

ai pulls a marbury and gets reformed in doc's system.

He'd be a good fit for an offense like the Knicks or the Warriors and I could see the Knicks picking him up.

I could see the Bobcats picking him, too. Based on interviews and articles, Larry Brown seems to have some respect for him.

People are really upset about how he acted in Detroit, but I don't think Iverson had a chance at having a positive outcome in Detroit. I'm not saying he's blame free, but everything was set against him from the start; the players were upset he was there, he was obtained to clear cap, the coaching was horrendous, the Pistons offense didn't suit him at all, etc. It was pretty much passive aggressive sabotage.

Iverson need to go where he can get a ring L.A. or Boston or Cleveland.

I cant believe how quickly he has become an undesirable player to have. It must be hard to come off that plateau where everybody has been kissing your but for so long to being viewed as a liability because of size and lack of defense, although that has been his M.O. for a long time but his scoring overshadowed it until now.
