As the days get shorter (haha at least in Ohio), Free Agency 2010 is offically less than a year away. I will start a series of threads regarding different players. Let the debate begin!

yup.....ESPN 9even though they are full of it), lists them as a team that could *offer* him a deal.

I just think they ran out of teams to pick from.

There's no freaking way he stays in Cleveland. I'm guessing most casual fans don't realize how bad LeBron wants to be great, and he's not going to do that in Cleveland. The Cavs as a team maxed out last year, it was as good as they could ever be (even with Shaq) and it's not good enough to win a title. LeBron knows that, and if he's smart, he would rather be anywhere other then Cleveland when the '11 season kicks off.

I voted for him going to the Knicks, even though the Bulls and Heat are both HEAVY sleepers when it comes to landing him.

Knicks and it is known that him and bosh are planning on playing together and just so many teams can offer both max contracts and it depends on where bosh wants to play also. The knicks are setting up for 2010 and have a young core going with gallinari, chandler, hill, douglas, and have eddy curry who can be great if he is in shape and are looking at rubio who said he wants ny and i think a deal is goin to get done they are waiting to sign and trade lee or nate. Lebron wants NY and NY wants lebron and a lineup of
Rubio
Gallo
Lebron
Hill
Bosh
That looks like a better lineup then the cavs can ever put up.

The Knicks suck. He won't go there to re-build.

Cleveland or Brooklyn. I am leaning towards Brooklyn.

Still though, I get your flow. He wont win there.

But it won't be a rebuild. If we dump Jeffries with Nate then we will have...

PG: Kidd/Nash
SG: Chandler
SF: Lebron
PF: Max FA
C: Hill
Bench:
Gallinari
Douglass
Lee(maybe)
Curry
That's not a rebuilding team, that's a win now team.

I think Lebron might actually end up with the knicks. Why? People up in Albany are deciding how to get as much money as possible to fill in the budget gap in the next couple of years. One really good way to do that is to make sure the Nets don't meet the deadline of New Years Eve to break ground on the new site. That way they have to pay much steeper taxes to build there. Ultimately if that happens, either the ownership (Ratner, maybe JayZ too) sells to someone who can afford it or they don't move to brooklyn at all and end up at IZOD or more to the Rock. I hate politicians. I think most of the hold up is from people who want to see the nets pay that extra money to the state.

You're right, it does. Too ****in bad that what you listed, only 40% of those players are on the Knicks. And those 40% haven't done **** in the NBA.

Hey, Lebron might want to come to chicago, why not with this lineup, its better than the cavs.

Why the hell would he want to go to the Knicks other then money?? I mean if he wants to win championships go to a winning team. What have the Knicks done in the last 10 years? Nothing. Except lose and get booed by their terrible fans every god dam year in the lottery. Im sick of the whole NY Lebron 2010.

yea well cavs are not going to win this year they maxed out last year whether or not lebron stays or goes he likes the attention i mean he goes to an indians playoff game and wheres a yankees hat, best friends with guys like c.c. sabathia who has said he thinks lebron is coming to ny and at the music awards his friends standing right next to him is wearing an I love ny t-shirt. He likes the attention and he wants to be a billionare and he wont do that in Cleveland. If he comes to ny nike will most likely pay him more and he will just get more sponsors well the knicks are looking at kidd and supposedly they are close to a deal kidd wants ny and then you have a core of kidd, hill, gallinari, chandler, douglas, and maybe lee and well that is a great core and the knicks will have the youngest lineup in east and it fits with lebron wanting a young team for yrs. to come and they can take bosh also

Bulls? I wish, he would go to brook because of his friendship with Jay-Z. Then again he did give Urlacher his game worn shoes. So who knows. I think right now he is trying to build speculation so that when it is time he can get the biggest contract ever.

I bet you he has more friends from Cleveland or Akron than he does in NY. You only see it with guys from NY because that is what they show on TV dude. They don't show Lebron hanging with all his family and friends that he grew up with in Akron, do you. Nike and whatever sponsors will pay him whatever he wants no matter the market. NY is no different.

Haha clips...

Lets pump the breaks. LeBron is the Mayor of Ohio. He owns the place. When Kobe's gone he's the new commissioner of the NBA as well.

Money is not an obstacle for him anymore. The appeal to NY was the endorsements, he will get a massive check from Nike if he does sign in a large market, but I believe winning is more important to him.

That being said, we (I'm a Knick fan) could pull a Boston and sign Bosh/LeBron and trade for someone dirty like a Durant or whatever (bad example i know he's never leaving OKC just sayin). I DONT think that will happen, I think he will stay in Cleveland BUT the only reason I think he MAY leave for NY is because Cleveland didnt make it all the way this year. If tehy didn't make it this year, even tho KG wasn't in the playoffs, i dont know that Cleveland will ever have the parts to make it all the way as they stand now. We shall see.

But what team that is putting themselves in a position to have the cap space, would actually have a better chance to win a title than if he stayed in Cleveland.

Only teams he could go to where they would instantly be the top team:

LA
Orlando
Boston
SA
Denver
Portland
Chicago
Utah
Philly
Miami
Atlanta
Dallas

Problem is, only 3 of those teams have the cap space, Port, Chi, and Miami, none of which city is rumored to be a possible destination for Bron.

So basically, anywhere he signs, he will probably be in a worse situation than he is now.

You can't say that yet. Its only offseason of 2009. Boston went from last place roster to championship roster overnight. Literally. So you gotta wait before you jump to conclusions. I have faith in my knicks, and still think they'll land two max FA, just not Lebron. LeBron will probably stay in Cleveland, imho.

The Gilbert Arenas Rule Is In Effect.
The Larry Bird Rule Is In Effect.
LeBron will get $30 Million per season, from ...

The Knicks, the only market large enough to support that salary and pay the luxury tax to put talent around him. L.A. was the other option but they locked up their ridiculous contract player a few days ago.

Honestly, you can't wait one more year? Ever since he signed the extension with the cavs a few years back when he was a Restricted FA people have been talking about this. It's seriously getting annoying. There still a full season ahead of us. Find something else to talk about until at least next May, because right now, nobody, not even LeBron knows what the ***** is happening July 1 2010, and niether does anyone else.
