From CourierPostOnline.com (http://www.courierpostonline.com/article/20090701/SPORTS03/907010364/1002/sports/Dalembert-s-future-murky)
It's no secret that the Sixers would like to trade Samuel Dalembert this summer, just like it's no secret that Dalembert has asked the Sixers to trade him in the past.

The Sixers could have a match now that Houston Rockets center Yao Ming might miss the entire season and possibly more with a foot injury that hasn't healed.

The Rockets would also like to trade Tracy McGrady, who is entering the final season of his contract worth $23.2 million.

According to an NBA source, the Sixers might look into such a deal.

In order to make the salaries match within 25 percent, the Sixers would have to include another player or two. Dalembert has two years and $23.6 million left, including $11.4 million this coming season.

I read that earlier. It would be interesting to see who else they would try to include to match salary.

Rockets have to pull something off so they can keep Ron Ron. Sam would be a good addition.

Sixers shouldn't give up any of their core young players, if it could be dalembert and maybe Andre miller in a sign and trade i would do it in a heartbeat

Sammy and Green is not enough money to get T-Mac.. kinda hard to believe but its true.. so we would have to add another player or a 3rd team..

I like the idea of T-Mac and possibly Chuck Hayes for Dalembert, Willie Green, Lou Williams and a pick.....

T-Mac wasn't a factor for the Rockets at all this past season and they took the Lakers to 7 games in the 2nd round of the playoffs, so I really don't think they'd miss him.

The Sixers have been trying to move Dalembert for awhile now, so that would be a plus for us. Losing Willie Green is really no big deal since a minumum salary player can give us pretty much what he gives us. So the only player of value we would lose would be Lou Williams, but since we drafted Jrue Holiday, losing Lou Will wouldn't hurt as much.

The Sixers would then have a pretty stacked starting 5 with a solid bench....

PG-Jrue Holiday or Andre Miller or Steve Blake(rumored in a sign and trade with Portland for Miller)
SG-Tracy McGrady.....if he's healthy he'd be a huge addition
SF-Andre Iguodala
PF-Elton Brand
C-Mareese Speights or Jason Smith

6th man-Thaddeus Young

And even if T-Mac isn't healthy, the Sixers would clear his $23 million off the cap after 1 season, and could be players in the 2010 free agency frenzy.

I think it would be a fair deal for both teams.

Why not trade for T-Mac and Sign Iverson?? Hahaha what the hell. Sixers aren't going to beat the celtics, magic, cavs etc anyways even if this trade goes down. Sign Iverson and get t-mac and bring in the fans for more money and more ESPN primetime games

right after posting this I turned on comcast sportsnet and the Sixers reporter Dei Lynam essentially just said exactly what I said....and I also posted exactly what I just said in this thread in the Sixers forum a couple days ago.

rockets gm darryl morey has said he wont take back any junk or bad contracts for TMac, he would rather hold on to that expiring contract.

dalembert (actually everyone except Iggy) = junk ... no thanks.

Ya I mean what the hell. It's evident the sixers can't beat the other powerhouses (when it comes to the playoffs at least) so why not just bring in both guys in? The fans will pay, the sixers will get a bunch of primetime games, and it will all be good entertainment for the entire league, not just Philly fans
