Kind of a weird time for it. Why now and not earlier, like right after their failure of a season came to an end?

Yeah, they should've done it before the draft. Kind of strange timing.

pretty much agree that they should have done this earlier, very weird timing.

why is it weird? If Curry was fired before the draft Dumars would have still drafted the same players. Make sense next time.

It's nice that they have some cap room, but I wonder how many players are going to sign with them when they don't have a coach?

Like most everyone already said, the timing couldn't be worse.

Grow up. Anyways, it doesn't make sense because the coach has input on the draft too. Sure the GM makes the final decision but the coach helps. They've had plenty of time to fire him before now.

out of the bllue really, didnt hear any rumblings in the media or anything but thats probably as result of the draft a FA.

who will they get in? joe d must have somebody lined up i would say, as nobody will want to sign with a team that has no coach in place. most players like to know who will b coaching them lol

I'd say Bill Laimbeer is the next HC. Why would he just all of the sudden quit the Shock? It just makes sense.

Very strange. If a coach with even half a brain comes in, they'll keep Rip for sure

Bad situation all around. Not sure a rookie coach with an unraveling team of vets with high expectations is ever a good combo.

And man, did that team quit on him or what. I have always loved Tayshaun's game butd he looked he was thinking about what to have for dinner out on the court, instead of basketball the last part of the season.
