LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
You are crazy right!?!? Rip, a three time all star, and Prince, who 12months ago was in the top 12 players for the olympics, as WELL as Maxiell, a high impact big (like our only one left with Kwame). Throw in Chris Paul and we'll talk, otherwise, stop playing with trade machine!

The only thing about this trade is that it still leaves us without a starting center. I think Maxiell is listed as a center, but I think he is only 6'8 or something like that. I remember watching a Pistons/Hornets game where Paul alley-ooped it Chandler and Maxiell came up block Tyson's shot clean.

they should trade Chris Paul because they picked Collison who is clearly their PG of the future...They can get decent value for Paul and maybe get a PF nad get rid of that bum they have now....all star what a joke....

I'm assuming you're being sarcastic. That's the all that would make sense about that post.

Patrick Swayze

That's the all...rly?

It just makes no sense to trade Paul. Byron Scott isn't the greatest at coaching rookies.

I really think it was a joke or that was one of the dumbest things I read on the Hornets forums in a while, trade CP3 lol what a joke.

Vinny642

No an opinion is saying Chris Paul is the second best PG out there.
NOT, Collison is our PG of the future so trade Paul and West isnt good.

Vinny642

I'm not sure I'd want that trade Chandler is really only at his best with cp3 and if we sent over rip you would most likely have the best back court in the leauge

He would most likely retire.

Doesn't matter. His contract would count against the Cap unless a doctor deemed that he physically cannot play.

What do you guys think about this trade. Before you go off on a tirade on how it is ****, think about it first.

Tyson Chandler
Peja Stojakovic

Total 2009 Salary - 23 mil
for

Kenny Thomas
Beno Udrih
Andris Nocioni
total 2009 salary - 21 mil

The reasoning is this... your team is obviously going for cap space right now leading up to a quick rebuild (quick enough to keep Chris Paul interested).
Kenny Thomas is expiring next season, cutting 8 mil off of your cap space starting during the all important 2010 free agency. We also give you a decent player in Andris. You also receive an extra 2 mil just from the totally salaries itself which is basically 10 mil next year. This should be enough, adding on to your cap space already, to grab you an impact player or a few role players or whatever you are going for at this point in 2011.

The Kings would be adding cap space in 2011 as well as getting a Tyson Chandler 2 year rental (we would probably release him when his contract expired).

This trade doesn't make you any better, im not going to say it makes you worse because Peja and Tyson barely play anyway. What it does do though is give you enough money to keep Chris Paul or another 2011 star interested. So what do you think? Please don't flame me with the "this sucks because it doesn't turn us into championship contenders" crap. Feel free to add on whatever you think would make this trade fair so I can see exactly what it would take from you guys.

esasays trade is terrible, but if the kings want chandler and peja you have my blessing. not sure how much nocioni makes but i like his game. freeing up some money is good.

tland22
07-03-2009, 06:27 PM
ya anything to take peja off our hand immediately

Kings Faithful
07-03-2009, 07:33 PM
Nocioni makes about 8 mil and Beno makes about 6 mil. And they run for 3 or 4 more years. So they are bad contracts or at least Beno's is because he isn't anything more than a backup. It would be like taking Peja's god forsaken contract and spreading it out over a longer period of time in order to save money for the present. Thing is that Peja rarely plays and Nocioni is good and Beno is a good backup for Paul so you are only gaining in that regard. Kenny Thomas is just flat out money and is a pretty valuable piece going into next year.

oh I see.... nahhhhh no thanks man.

What we need to do is KEEP TYSON. Sign Brandon Bass, and let him develop and start at PF. Trade Away David West to a team,. and combo him with Peja's bad contract and antonio daniels.....we would free up money and get decent talent in return atleast....someone to play SF or SG. We have Butler Posey and julian Wright for the moment, but we'd need a somewhat proven starter at one of those positions.

Vinny642
07-03-2009, 08:42 PM
yea that dont sound bad since daniels is a expriing and west contract is great

i hope that is something the hornets are considering atleast ya know
