How about a thread about what the lottery rookies are going to avg. during the season. Assume all rookies are going to be playing (i.e. assume Rubio will be playing here and not overseas) So that is picks 1-14. I'll get started and don't bash me that hard ;)

Pick#, Name, Points, Assists, Rebounds, Steals, Blocks
1) Griffin 17, 2, 8, 0.8, 1.3
2) Thabeet 4.0, 1.0, 8.0, 1.0, 3
3) Harden 12, 3.0, 3.0, 1.5, 0.5
4) Evans 16, 4, 4, 2, .8
5) Rubio 10, 9, 2, 2, 0.1
6) Flynn 13, 5, 3, 2, 0.2
7) Curry 17, 5, 3, 1, 0.1
8) J.Hill 8, 1.5, 8, 1.3, 2
9) Derozan 10, 4, 4, 2, 1
10) Jennings 8, 6.5, 3, 2, 0.1
11) Williams 16, 5, 4, 2, 0.5
12) Henderson 12, 3, 3, 1.5, 0.5
13) Hansbrough 8, 2, 6, 1, 1.5
14) Clark 10, 4, 4, 2, 1.5

what do you think?

T-Will scoring 16 PG...the guy hate scoring...T-Hansbrough 2 assist s per game along with 1-2 blocks is kind of funny

I'd love for Griffin to average those numbers rookie season, but I don't think he'll be able to unless the Clippers find a way to move Zach Randolph. I'm concerned with how much PT Griffin will get should the roster stay the same.

why is everybody giving curry such high numbers? i cant see him score that much and think hell be in the 13-15 ppg range as the absolutely highest. actually i think hell be more of a bust and stay under 10 but i cant see him put up 17 or 19!

Not sure about what the numbers are going to be but I am going to say Tyreke Evans will be the RoY. He is already physically stronger than most NBA PG's and will be able to contribute right away.

I dont think Griffin will be ready to put up the kind of numbers people are suggesting right away. He is going to have to adjust to the strength and power of the NBA game and he is also going to a situation where LA has players that play the position unless they get a deal done.

No way Curry can put up the numbers people are suggesting. He is a spot up shooter that will have a hard time creating shots for himself and GS doesnt have the playmakers or inside threats to make it happen for him.

So I think Evans wont be the best player from this draft he will contribute more next season and win the RoY.

he'll get all the time in the world with no SG or SF signed for next year. If the Raptors continue to have no depth, watch for Derozen to avg 15-20 minutes per game at least

Because on Golden State everyone's numbers are inflated, its a product of Nellie's system.

Stats are pretty point less to predict, because there all going to be wrong.

But I'm going to go ahead and be the first to say that Jordan Hill will win Rookie of the Year this upcoming season. He's a pefect big man for the system they run and actually plays pretty solid defense. But of course this all depends on if they resign Lee. If they do then i guess I'll go with Flynn.

Okay, he's not a lottery pick, but I'm going to talk about him anyways because I just want to make the prediction...

If he gets 25 minutes (and he hopefully can/should), I think Lawson may be capable of about 11-12/6 for Denver.

So you think he will have a bigger impact than DJ Augustin did last year? Because that's about how much time he got last year and he scored as many points, but had less assists.

I'm sayin' 15 and 9 from Griffin in his first season.
Hopefully he'll get enough playing time.

You dont think hes good enough?

No thats not at all what I was saying. I'm just worried he won't be getting enough minutes to be that productive. If we can't move Zach Randolph, Blakes going to be coming off the bench. Regardless of what trades do or don't happen, I think Blake can be extremely versatile. I see the Clippers playing him mostly at the 4, but also some 5 if the opposing team is playing small ball, and possibly even some 3 if he can work on his shot. Assuming the Clippers don't make any trades (but hoping they do), I see Griffin getting about 25-30 minutes per game with a statline of maybe 14, 8, 2, 1.0, 1.5

So you think he will have a bigger impact than DJ Augustin did last year? Because that's about how much time he got last year and he scored as many points, but had less assists.

I was actually basing my prediction more on a comparison with Anthony Carter, who averaged 5.3/4.7 in 23 minutes. I think even as a rookie, Lawson's playmaking will be >>AC and his scoring will be >>>>>AC. The biggest question marks I have about this right now are:

1. Will his defense be enough up to snuff so that Karl actually gives him those minutes?

2. Will the Nuggets coaching staff and training staff be able to help him develop a consistent NBA-range 3, and help him reach the level of strength and conditioning he'll need to handle NBA physicality?

If both those are "yes", then I have enough confidence in his ability to playmake and penetrate that he should be good for putting up 11/6-ish numbers if he's on the court for 25. I mean it seems like the forte of his assisting is feeding bigs down low off penetration, and with the likes of Nene, K-Mart, Melo, Birdman, and Balkman around, I expect he can be the hand that feeds the Nuggets dunking machine and getting nice assist numbers should come easy. It's more questionable how well his scoring will translate to the NBA when he faces that longer 3-pt line and bigger/better defenders/shot blockers.
