----------

ESPN reported late Tuesday night that the Thunder and Phoenix are reportedly discussing a trade that would give Oklahoma City two lottery picks Thursday night in the draft.

The Suns want their unprotected pick in 2010 back that Sam Presti acquired in the Kurt Thomas trade.

According to the report, OKC would get Phoenix’s No. 14 pick while the Suns would get the Thunder’s No. 25 pick late in the first round.
-------------

what if the suns dismantle which it seems they will do?

the thunder get 2 picks top 5 ?

wow..........suns are done...

wai wait...so is it:

Pick 14 for Pick 25 + Phoenix 2010 first?

or

just pick 14 for pick 25 which makes no sense.

The trade would be the 14th pick for the 25th in this years draft and Phoenix would also get their pick back that they traded away for nothing.

thats still a stupid trade for OKC. i would rather keep this pick and a possible top 5 pick next year depending on if nash and shaq get traded.

Am I the only one dumbfounded by this? Why would OKC do this, to be nice?

OKC will have a very HIGH draft pick from Phoenix next year and most likely they will have a lottery pick of there own too. OKC is looking at Top 10 picks next year.

Even more dangerous, Utah has the Knicks unprotected 2010 pick. With the Knicks saving for 2010 Free Agency, it is doubtful that they will bring back Lee or Nate Robinson. That could be the #1 overall pick.

Wow is this thread title misleading or what. They've had that pick for almost 2 years now.

Phoenix would get the Thunders pick this year and the pick we gave to them to take Kurt Thomas off our hands, for next year.

OKC wants to draft Mullins or Blair apparently and that's why they want up in this draft.

If the Suns have Amare and Nash healthy next year, then it's unlikely that the pick will be a top 10 pick let alone top 5.
Stop acting like the Suns have no talent on their team and are destined to be a bottom feeder.

The only way I see Phoenix doing this is if they believe Nash won't return. So they get the pick back, then blow up the squad. They'd probably sacrafice next year for the sake of devloping talent, and get a good pick.

keep the pick if both teams are horrible that is 2 chances for the number one pick maybe even one and 2 but at the same time you could trade both picks next year for the 1st overall and a second, get the best player and one that won't cost as much money

But the Knicks are getting better and you cant say we arent. Phoenix is clearly going to decline! That team is just waiting to implode!

If NY loses Lee and Nate, it's hard to see them getting better next year. This may be why we're hearing a possible deal for Milicic.

Also, Phoenix isn't going to decline worse than last year if they don't lose anyone beyond Shaq. You guys who don't follow Phoenix don't realize how much having Porter as coach hurt the team. With a healthy team and Gentry at the Helm, they won't be worse than where we are now and could be a playoff team.
