Hey guys, Some of you may remember but I conducted a poll at the start of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. I would like to start this up once more considering the NBA season is now over and we can get to this discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

PG Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Chris Paul
2) Deron Williams
3) Chauncey Billups
4) Tony Parker
5) Steve Nash
6) Derrick Rose
7) Devin Harris
8) Rajon Rondo
9) Jose Calderon
10) Jason Kidd

Last Years PG rankings:

1) Chris Paul
2) Steve Nash
3) Deron Williams
4) Baron Davis
5) Tony Parker
6) Jason Kidd
7) Chauncey Billups
8) Gilbert Arenas
9) Jose Calderon
10) Andre Miller

I think Kidd will get this. I think Nelson and Williams could both have cases made for them as well. I'm not sure Calderon is deserving to be 9th, but PSD has spoken. I think it was and still is pretty tight between him, Kidd, Nelson and Williams. I took Nelson as my vote for 9, so I will choose him again for 10.

I like Kidd, would be surprised if he fell out of the top 10 this time around.

I personally think Nelson/Felton/Westbrook/Miller's numbers equal out to a stalemate in general. Kidd is putting up close to 9 assists per game, over 6 rebounds, and over 2 steals.

I know it aint all about numbers, but still.

I'd have 10) J Kidd and 11) Andre Miller 12) Jameer Nelson IMO.

Calderon is a great pg, but the Raptors fans really rape these forums sometimes and go for the homer picks.

you have got to be kidding me.. The bulls fans came out in full force to support Rose at any cost, If Homers are voting for Rose, Rondo etc, why is it not fair that Calderon being labelled a top 10 pg. He was last time around. No one voted him the 5th best pg, he is right around where he should be..

Jason Kidd......he's aging but still a threat to give you a triple double on any given night.

kidd. for sentimental reasons. I know some people is for Jarmeer, but kidd is got to be top ten.

Russell Westbrook averaged 15/5/5 this year and when he got big time minutes, the Thunder starting winning a little. I think it is Kidd here though, although Westbrook will be top 10 next year.

Here we go with the "Raptor fans are totally homer pickers" debate.

a) Not all Raptor's fans voted for Calderon.
b) Not sure how it is any different than other high populations of Chicago fans, or Lakers fans, or Celtics fans.

Teams with higher populations on PSD generally get more votes and arguments about their players on threads like this. If we are going to do PSD's top ten of anything, the bias of different fans will come. That is simply fact. Not sure what you are say is even noteworthy... Seems quite logical that it would turn out that way.

Last year I think Bynum was considered the 4th best Center in the game.
This year Rose is considered 6th best PG in the game after one season.

What's different about Raptor's fans?

 Could not agree more, this affects a lot of polls and threads throughout the NBA forum, its not just raptors fans.

I don't really think so. The top 5 in the league are pretty established. The rest is in flux. They're all developing. I think Rose is too high, Kidd is too low, and the rest are all interchangeable for now.

I think Derek Fisher is worth a mention. I know nobody seems to like him except as a good teammate, but he's a very solid veteran and I'd take him ahead of several of the PGs from 6-15. The guy contributed big time to 4 championship teams and he gets no love.

I may be a complete homer, but I don't think I am.

Jameer Nelson, before he got injured, trailed only one player in the entire league in 3 pt. percentage, and was one of the very very few guards to shoot above 50% from the floor. His offensive efficiency is amazing. Sure, his assist totals are down, but you have to keep in mind that he plays along side Hedo, one of the 2 or 3 best point forwards in the game. He shares ball handling duties a lot. The Magic were also a much better defensive team, about 5 points a game, when Jameer played instead of Rafer, so his defense wasn't bad either (Pietrus and Lee hardly played when Jameer was healthy, making that feat even more impressive).

Jameer Nelson, he was an all-star selection.

I think its a toss up between Miller and Kidd. Gave the nod to Miller because he is younger and a bit quicker
