My buddies and I are thinking of having a trip (only 2 hours by car) to NYC to see the draft. Tickets are 70 bucks each for not-so-great-seats, but we'd love to go for the experience. Have any of you been to past drafts? Do you get to meet players? get close? Is it worth it? is it boring?

Share your experiences or thoughts for the underlining question.

Is it worth it or not?

Well seeing as how you are a Boston fan, there's no point because Boston doesn't have a pick.

The Draft is only fun to watch because you are excited to see whoyour team is going to draft.

With the Kobe sig? You think I'm a Boston fan?

And plus, I'm a big NBA fan in general, so just because my team wasn't in the lottery doesn't mean it isn't exciting to see other teams pick.

Better off seeing it in the comfort of your own home.

I heard from a hand full that the draft is very exciting as far as the lottery *top 14 teams*, but later on, it gets boring.
