If you don't want to do the whole 30 teams, totally understandable. Top 5, top 10, whatever is cool.

1. Lakers (since they won)
2. Magic (they went to the finals)
3. Nuggets (not sure people expected them to go as far as they did)
4. Cavs (disappointing season in retrospect)
5. Rockets (could have been Boston just as easily, but considering the Rockets took the eventual champion Lakers to seven without Yao, T-Mac and Dikembe gives them the edge).

I know the Cavaliers at 2nd looks like a homer pick and that I'll take heat for it. It's my honest opinion though; there's no consolation to be gained from me picking them 2nd. The rest are fairly tame picks.

LAL- World champions of Course.
HOU- Took the champs to seven games, and who knows if we they had a full healthy squad, how things would of turned out.
ORL- Truely a complete team, but their lack of execution in the 4th quarter truely exposed their inexperience. But who knows if they'll grow from it with their current busy offseason. (Hedo Turkoglu).
CLE- This season they showed flashes of briliance tough defensively but seriously, they need to know how to play offense, rather than standing pat and watch LeBron take over.
DEN- I seriously thought they would of taken out the Lakers but they seriously dissapointed in the Conf Finals IMO.

True credit is earned, but come on now they gave LA all they could handle with a depleated team, and like i said i truely thought DEN was going to take them out, but they werent able to compete as hard i thought they would.

Im ranking teams based on Regular Season + Playoffs + taking into consideration injuries sustained and the timing of the injuries. Im still basing it on the if he was healthy idea butlosing Yao midway through the season can be worse for the teams rating (if they lose) than losing him in game 3 of the true WCF.

This Years Best Teams
Lakers
Celtics (No KG and overachieved beyond measures, if he was their they wouldve gone to the Finals)
Magic (Lost their 2nd best player and kept on going)
Rockets (2nd best team in the West, wouldve won the games if not for the lineup and role-fluctuation drama)
Cavs: His supporting cast is overrated and old but they are still a decent enough team for him to get them this far up the ladder)

Nuggets: Until Manu proves capable of staying healthy the Nuggets have the better team. No Manu is the equivalent of no Billups for the Nuggets.

Spurs: The Mavs eliminated the Spurs with Howard not being up to speed, but thats alot better than not having him at all. And while I did say Manu has to prove capable of staying healthy vs the Nuggets, he only needs to prove capable of returning to a semi-decent form in order to be a better team than the Mavs.

Mavs: The core is sapped, they had a decent surge at the end of the season but this team is only getting older.

Blazers: I wouldnt even know where to start with this team, they are so all over the place I really regret not watching more of them in the regular season because statistically its hard to get a handle on them. Depending on who you ask they are other good defensively and average offensively, or they are elite offensively and horrible offensively.

Utah is in there somewhere but after their season you cant say they are much higher than this, if this high at all.

No it proves Tmac is no longer good enough to help a team with 1 good leg.

2-4 I think can be interchangable depending on seeding. I think when everyone is healthy BC can beat Orlando but can't beat Cavs and the Cav's cant beat Orlando. Houston very well could have been #5 but I'm not sure the Lakers really took them serious.

It would have be the Lakers at first and the Rockets at second. Rockets were the only team that took the Lakers to seven games and they did this without yao, tmac, dikembe, alston. I'm thinkin the Rockets are going to win the championship in 2010.

If healthy:

1. Celtics
2. Rockets
3. Lakers
4. San Antonio
5. Cleveland
6. Denver
7. Orlando

Why Cleveland over Orlando? I think Cleveland matches up better against the Celtics, who I consider #1.
