Was it this way when Shaq was on Miami in 2005? Or is this something recent?

Recently Van Gundy made comments about Shaq "flopping" in one of his post game press conferences.

Shaq had his little media rebuttle. I dont know if there was something prior, but that's the only thing that comes to mind.

It dates back to when he used to panic and scare eddie jones to death so badly he choked according to Shaq

i think it was stuff behind the scenes. he probably did stuff to irk Shaq. They were never on the same page. and thew flopping comments made things worse.

SVG called him out for flopping.

Shaq has a beef with him and others in general though because he is well Shaq and needs to be the center of attention while not taking blame for any failure that occurs.

Really Take A Look At Him :

Orlando
- beef with Penny
- beef with Coach
- beef with management
- threw Nick Anderson under the bus

Lakers
- beef with Van Exel (traded away)
- beef with Elden Campbell (traded away)
- beef with Eddie Jones (traded away)
- beef with Kobe
- beef with Malone (questioned Shaq's work ethic and praised Kobe)
- threw Horry under the bus (publicly blamed him for not hitting 3s in the 03 playoffs)
- threw Fisher under the bus (said he couldn't handle Parker publicly in 03)
- embarrasses Jerry Buss (demands huge $$$ publicly)

Miami
- beef with Stan
- calls out Phil
- compares himself to the Godfather with Penny/Kobe/Wade as his sidekicks
- beef with Riley
- quits on team as they are losing and tried to get a buy out to go to Cuban

Phoenix
- Mike Dantoni is fired
- throws Nash under bus by calling out his defense on Parker
- says that Wade wasn't better than Kobe all of a sudden
- takes a shot at Quinn, R.Davis, and Heat talent
- takes shots at Dwight Howard
- calls SVG the master of panic
- Asks Kobe how his *** tastes
- calls out Kareem

The fact is that Shaq stirs up **** everywhere he goes, but doesn't get called on it because he smiles for the camera, cracks jokes, and people just say he means no harm

If Shaq is such a bad team mate then why haven't any players past and present spoken out against him and called him out in public....surely they can't be afraid of what his gonna say back. If they call him out and are telling the truth then Shaq will be shown to be a fraud as a team mate.

Why doesn't Van Gundy rip Shaq once and for all about how he was back in miami..if they had any problems..this would shut Shaq up

Wrong. Nothing shuts Shaq up. He is past his prime and has always been a media hound. Since he isn't the dominant big man he used to be, he feels the need to make crude comments about others so writers can put his name in the paper as often as they used to when he was actually the best big man in the league. No one cares to comment back about Shaq because:
1.) He won't quit. He'll respond with some bait to keep the fight going.
2.) The league has recognized Shaq's immaturity and need for the spotlight. Most players and staff understand that he says these wild things out of necessity to fill his ego. He even dissed Kareem? Who the hell disses Kareem?
3.) Shaq has no class at all. This is widely known throughout the NBA. He trashes every team he plays for and insults whoever he pleases. Everyone knows that if they respond or even acknowledge his tasteless comments, it would mean lowering their own personal standards of class.

Van Gundy's no idiot. A war with Shaq is a war that doesn't end in a victory.

How about because Phil, Kobe, Penny, wade, Riley, Stan, and Dwight all know how to or have learned how to act their age and conduct themselves as adults.

I mean the guy is 37 and is publishing love child pics; he knew that he couldn't take away all the attention of the Finals, but he was able to make himself a side show while it was going on by attacking SVG and Dwight

Doing so did 2 things:

1. Took away the attention that Dwight did something he could not do in Orlando which was win a Finals game
2. Stopped all the critics from asking him how Kobe and Phil's *** tasted as the became the first coach and guard in Lakers history to win without a dominant center

Maybe when Stan Van, D Wade, Kobe, all retire they can write a tell all book...lol

Kobe's would be guaranteed to be a best seller

You know that Phil will when he decides to hang it up so we all have something to look forward to.

Because fact is, he's the most dominant player ever and can win championships.
