According to Sir Charles in his opinion he will. Maybe this is why Rambis turned down the Kings job? If PJ does decide he's had enough that will be a Huge BLOW to the Lakers. It's just speculation now so we'll see how this plays out!

Exactly my initial post does say at this point it's just speculation, besides what does PJ have left to coach for? Two things I guess just to add to his record and maybe he wants to win as many Titles with the Lakers as he did with the Bulls. He's been said to be in bad health though so why not go now?

Phil should try for a 3peat...

I want the legend of the 3peat master to continue.

Barkley also said the Nuggets would beat the Lakers in 6 and that the Magic would beat the Lakers in 7....

So I guess Phil is coming back.

always nice to go out on top but I think the Lakers have a shot at another 2 or 3 rings

He should try one more year and go from there, he has great players around so he doesn't have to do much babysitting, well probably only on Bynum...

I thought the only thing barring him from returning in the past and now was his health. As long as he's healthy he'll stay with the Lakers.

I honestly think that he will stay but it's the NBA anything can happen.

If he's healthy enough he will stay, but it will be harder next year for the Lakers to pull this off again. I just hope he decides soon, and this doesn't dangle all summer long. As far as Barkley is concerned, I think he's drunk every time I hear him speak, so that's how much I believe him.

That is exactly what I was going to say. If Jeanie Buss keeps giving him some vag, he will be coaching til he is 80.

I don't know who this would have more credit coming from, Charles Barkley or Peter Vescey.

Of course you would say that. Your a little annoying with how you hate the Lakers and Kobe. Every post.

We have heard NOTHING from Phil.

I do think he will retire soon though. If I remember correctly he did say he was about done with one or two more years. I would love to see him finish with Kobe, but I doubt it.

I think Phil is going through some touch health issues regarding his back or something so him retiring wouldn't surprise me.

Lakers could still make another championship run if they can figure out what to down with Trevor and Odom's contract situation.
