I heard this on Mike and Mike in the morning yesterday so if you heard this please don't play along and if you didn't don't look up the answer.

There are three active pitchers in the MLB under the age of 30 to win 100 games. Who are they??

I got 2 out of 3...the first two were easy, I whould have never guessed the third. I'm curious to see how many people can name all three.

I was thinking CC, Big Z and Zito.

But I think Zito is over 30 nowadays.

Marquis might be up near 100 as well.

I was orginally thinking Zito too, but he's 30.

I was thinking Chris Carpenter as the third as I had no clue he was as old as he was.

My first thought was Zambrano, Sabathia, and Peavy.

But since you said that you would have never guessed the 3rd, I'm going to assume it's not Peavy (although he's only like 27-28, and he's gotta have at least 85-90 wins, he's pretty much a lock to get there eventually.)

And since I'm a lazy bastard, I'm not even going to look up ages/wins for anyone else either. I'm just gonna guess.

Buerhle?

EDIT - And apparently it's been taken care of while I was thinking about it.

I say Peavy gets there before Beckett.

Buerhle is a great guess, he won his 100th as a 29 year old, but he is now 30 and therefore void. Beckett is 28 and sitting at 96 wins so more than likley he will be the 4th one.

Peavy is sitting at 91 right now and Beckett is at 96 with Beckett on the better team....my money is on Beckett.

I saw Peavy at 92, but whatever.

I got no problems pulling for the underdog.

Sabathia, Zambrano, Santana?

My head was starting to spin on this one, but we'll see.

EDIT: Wow, never would have guessed Garland.

The answer is CC Sabathia @ 122/76 in 9 seasons; Carlos Zambrano @ 100/63 in 9 seasons; and Jon Garland @ 110/95 in 10 seasons.
