06-08-2009, 01:17 PM
As you know every year in the nba theres players who might step up a notch or two this year was devin harris, nene, ect so who do you think will those players be

06-08-2009, 01:22 PM
Throwin out random names: Andrea Bargnani, Jameer Nelson, Thad, Joakim Noah, Eric Gordon, Aaron Brooks

I gotta go with Andrea Bargnani.. Really think that after seeing what he did since sam mitchell was fired, he could average over 20 a game, 6-7 boards and 1.5 blocks per game.. MIP right there..

Throwin out random names: Andrea Bargnani, Jameer Nelson, Thad, Joakim Noah, Eric Gordon, Aaron Brooks

Good names there. Jameer Nelson got the all-star nod last year though didn't he? Not sure how much he'll improve from that recognition.

I really like Thad, Noah, Bargnani, Gordon and Brooks picks though.

06-08-2009, 02:10 PM
Jermaine O'Neal, if he can stay healthy?

06-08-2009, 02:18 PM
JR Smith is a possibility. He averaged 15 off the bench this year and George Karl said he will most likely be starting next year so its reasonable to believe his points per game may improve to close to 20.

06-08-2009, 02:26 PM
JJ Redick

06-08-2009, 02:38 PM
Devin Harris. It's not even close.

06-08-2009, 02:40 PM
Devin Harris. It's not even close.

he didn't get it this year, so he is going to have to have a huge year next year if he wants it

06-08-2009, 02:49 PM

I misread the post. My bad. I thought it was for 2008-2009.

In 2009-2010, I am hopeful that it would be Andrew Bynum

06-08-2009, 03:02 PM
Elton Brand

06-08-2009, 03:08 PM
i will say--- aaron brooks, t-mac if he can stay healthy, rodney stuckey or thad young

06-08-2009, 03:37 PM
Danny Granger. Again. :D

06-08-2009, 04:53 PM
Raymond Felton or Bargs IMO

06-08-2009, 05:00 PM
Beasley, if he starts.

Anthony Randolph

06-08-2009, 05:02 PM
Raymond Felton or Bargs IMO

I'm hoping that it's Felton, he definitely could do it. All he really needs is to improve his range and his entire game will open up for him.

06-08-2009, 05:10 PM
Thaddeus Young

Raps18-19 Champ
06-08-2009, 05:18 PM
Andrea would probably up there. Maybe he can get atleast 18 and 7.
JR Smith would be up there too if he started and scored more points.
I can also see someone like Mike Conley getting it. He seems to be on a roll ever since he got a new coach.

06-08-2009, 05:25 PM
Mikael Pietrus, if Hedo opts out.

06-08-2009, 05:25 PM

06-08-2009, 05:47 PM
no doubt nba might as well hand the award to tyrus thomas. if the award is still around next year.

06-08-2009, 05:50 PM
Felton has a chance to do big things, he really stepped it up towards the end of the season. If he improves his shooting to let's say, 46%, he could easily become a second tier PG.

06-08-2009, 05:52 PM
Homer Pick- Julian Wright- He needas more consistent playing time and developing.

Others- Felton, Pietrus, and Thad Young; as said above.

06-08-2009, 05:58 PM
noah, thad, speights, tyrus, brooks, d lee, bargs,

06-08-2009, 06:50 PM
Bargnani or Brooks.

If Bosh gets traded this summer, i c bargnani's stats to end up being 20ppg, 7rpg, 1.5bpg

Aaron i c his stats being 16ppg, 5apg.

I still see no1 taking the award away from Bargs.

06-08-2009, 07:08 PM
Anthony Randolph, Ramon Sessions, or Greg Oden if finally healthy.

06-08-2009, 07:10 PM
Homer pick, but I say Bargs.

06-08-2009, 07:13 PM
Wilson Chandler

06-08-2009, 07:14 PM
i could see Brook Lopez having a big 2nd year.
beasley, jeff green are other guys i can see with big improvements.

06-08-2009, 08:11 PM
Luis Scola hes gonna have a break out year
honorable mentions Russel Westbrook, Mike Beasly, Andrea Bargnani, and Spencer Hawes

06-08-2009, 08:34 PM
lebron james

Raps18-19 Champ
06-08-2009, 08:38 PM
I can't believe no one has said this but Delonte West.

He can get about 15 ppg and has stepped up a lot this year.

06-08-2009, 08:44 PM
I am going to say Jason Thompson of the Kings. Either he or Spencer Hawes is going to have a big year next year. Thompson showed lots of promis just needs some consistency.

06-08-2009, 08:46 PM
Whoever the Cavs get to help out LeBron. LeBron is that good - he'll elevate the play of whoever it may be.

06-08-2009, 09:00 PM
Jarryd Bayless if given the playing time...i believe in him

06-08-2009, 09:18 PM
Michael Beasley!

06-08-2009, 09:28 PM
my boy thad young, j.r. smith, aaron brooks, and greg oden if he stays healthy. also rudy fernandez maybe?

06-08-2009, 09:28 PM
jason smith thad young, homer picks. ramon sessions, ariza, will bynum

06-08-2009, 09:30 PM
Is about whos gonna be the player who most improved and lebron james is not on the category cuz hes always been a beast ur way dude

06-08-2009, 09:31 PM
Rudy Fernandez

06-08-2009, 09:34 PM
homer pick, gallo =)

06-08-2009, 09:47 PM
Adam Morrison.. hahahaha:horse:

06-08-2009, 10:10 PM

06-08-2009, 10:10 PM
michael beasley

06-08-2009, 10:17 PM
Gilbert Arenas. He'll get it just for playing.

06-08-2009, 10:19 PM
Aaron Brooks is my pick.

Bynum a close second hopefully.

06-08-2009, 10:42 PM
Some guesses are Bargs, Marvin Wiliams, Brooks if T-Mac is gone, Stuckey, Jesus. D.J. Augustin could have a big year if he can stay healthy and if Felton is gone. But he is a rookie, like Beasely.

On the rookieness, what would it take for Derick Rose? Durant almost got it averaging like 5 more points and like 2 more boards. So would Rose be in consideration if he began averaging like 22/5/9?

06-08-2009, 10:50 PM
If were talking about young guys who will finally break out id say bynum, a.brooks, rodney stucky, and greg oden but if its veterens who will return to form id say elton brand and baron davis

06-08-2009, 11:14 PM
Joakim Noah

06-08-2009, 11:16 PM

06-08-2009, 11:18 PM
Gilbert can't be MIP, he was an All-Star
He's just been injured. It's not like he sucked for two years. he just hasn't played

anyways, my pick is Thaddeus Young

06-08-2009, 11:32 PM
I like ariza on a new team and starting, to double his numbers

06-08-2009, 11:38 PM
I like ariza on a new team and starting, to double his numbers

He is a starter already.......

06-08-2009, 11:50 PM
Aaron Brooks. He should be good in a full season.

06-08-2009, 11:55 PM
wilson chandler

agree !!

06-08-2009, 11:56 PM
He is a starter already.......

A starter in the playoffs not the regular season, they wanted him off the bench for energy. they had walton radmonovic when he was there and ariza starting but mostly walton and rad.

06-08-2009, 11:59 PM
Kwame Brown.

06-09-2009, 12:03 AM
michael beasley....if he starts

non-homer pick: Aaron brooks

06-09-2009, 12:07 AM
Darko Milicic.

06-09-2009, 12:14 AM
Has a player ever earned the MIP in the later stages of his career?

06-09-2009, 12:24 AM
Has a player ever earned the MIP in the later stages of his career?

Hedo is pretty far along in his career to win it - 8 or 9 years now?

06-09-2009, 12:35 AM
Wilson Chandler

06-09-2009, 12:35 AM
Mbenga, Corey Brewer, Sun Yue, Joakim Noah, Will Bynum :)

06-09-2009, 02:31 AM
It depends on who trades who. If Philidelphia got rid of Elton Brand, then I could see Thadeus Young winning the award. If Lamar Odom doesn't end up on the Lakers, I could see Trevor Ariza winning the award. I could also see Derrick Rose winning the award.
I think the award is going to be won by a small forward.

06-09-2009, 10:48 PM
no one thinks scola?

06-09-2009, 11:08 PM
I would have to say Lou Williams.

he will likely be the starting PG next year for the sixers because andre miller is likely gon in free agency. Hes played the most games of any active player without ever starting 1 game. I think he will accel in his first opportunities to start and will improve similar to what devin harris did when he was given the chance.

06-09-2009, 11:20 PM
i will say--- aaron brooks, t-mac if he can stay healthy, rodney stuckey or thad young

T-Mac??? HA!!! Michael Jordan has more of a chance of winning it.
