Real simple, just pick 15 players to fill out your roster. Must have three for each position:

Mine would be as follows:

Starters
PG Magic Johnson
SG Michael Jordan
SF Larry Bird
PF Tim Duncan
C Wilt Chamberlain

Bench
PG John Stockton
PG Oscar Robertson
SG Pete Maravich
SG Kobe Bryant
SF Julius Erving
SF Rick Barry
PF Karl Malone
PF Kevin McHale
C Kareem Abdul-Jabar
C Hakeem Olajuwon

no lebron?

HammerHead1

I was going to choose him as 12. But just the fact he's still young and no real case for success gave it to Worthy. If he continues the way he's going though and adds a ring or two, then Bird may have to go.

do you mean Bird to the bench, or gone? Cause, the 3rd best player of all time in my book belongs on ANY all NBA team

Its a dilemma that I like to think about. Im unsure tbh man, whenever I see Bird play, im amazed at what he does, he plays basketball not Small Forward. Thats how I see it. We cant measure what Lebron is going to do in the coming years. Right now though, everytime I was James, his athletism gets me the most, its ridiculous. Realisticlly though, James wont dare get the 6 to push Jordan, 4 to push Duncan, and the 5 to push Magic.

i was wondering about adding hondo, but in the end i took him away

No...

You'd take Nash over Oscar Robertson and Gary Payton? No way. I wouldn't take him over Kidd either. Nash had a great little peak there from 03-04 to 07-08, but his career as a whole isn't overly impressive outside of that stint.

How can anybody possibly put Lebron or Kobe on the all time list at their positions? I could see talking about Kobe in another 5 years, or Lebron in another 10, but now?

while I left Kobe off my roster entirely, it could EASILY be argued he belongs on the reserves, he has played like 11-12 years already. As a starter? Please. Never. Either MJ or Bird need to be bumped, and that makes no sense
LeBron has no business on this team yet.

ok, I guess I could understand the Kobe argument as a 3rd reserve; but just can't understand someone putting Lebron on... unless they've only watched basketball since 2003- just my opinion though

Kareem is better than chamberlain

PhillyDominance
06-08-2009, 02:44 AM
That may be true. I originally had Kareem starting because I like how well he and Magic were together, plus he's the all-time leading scorer in the history of the game. Center may very well be the most difficult out of these positions to pick with Hakeem, Wilt, Russell, Shaq, Kareem, etc.
