I really admired West’s performance last night but for some reason my thread I made got deleted. Anyways, I really thought he player incredible, with the rest of his teammates choking, disappearing in the second half, struggling not to shoot wide open airballs (wally) and shooting 40%, Delonte stepped up and was the best player on the court for the Cavs. I really think that once the Cavs sign a decent shooting guard, even Mo Evans would be a good starter for them, Delonte should be starting PG with the kind of creative freedom Mo has, and Mo Williams should come off the bench as a great 6th man to shore up the bad cleveland bench scoring.

Remember how when Delonte was on the sonics before he got traded he was getting 18 ppg, when you give him creative freedom, like the white guy from the cavs gave Delonte last night, he delivers, and is quite clutch.

Everyone is talking about the magic, but Delonte West gave the best performance for the Cavs in game 6. He is really good in the big games which is the kind of player the Cavs need.

Imagine the Cavs with Delonte West starting PG with as much creative freedom as Mo gets, Mo Evans or Michael Pietrus level SG starting, good size and defense, and of course Lebron. That team would be incredible.

Delonte West I don’t think is getting the credit he deserves, he also stepped up in game 4 overtime when his other teammates were choking, and game 5 as well.

With his defense AND offense I think he is the second best Cavs player, not Mo Williams, and Delonte West and Lebron James is a great duo

I am a huge fan of Delonte. I think he is a very solid player...a player that every successful team would love to have. Plays hard on both sides, and is a great defender. I mean, he was guarding anyone and everyone vs. the Magic. Extremely versatile. He was the second best player on the Cavs vs. the Magic. He wasn't amazing, but at least he kind of showed up every night. Of LeBron's role players, he has the least blame on him.

He did keep the Cavs in the game somewhat last night. He is just a tough dude who can stroke it. He would be an excellent 2 guard for the Jazz lol.

He was such a stud on the Celtics. That dude could gaurd anyone. I think his last year with us he was the top blocking PG in the game. Pretty impressive for a dude thats like
6'1. Would be nice to have him backing up Rondo instead of Starbury.

i love delonte. one of the few pgs that can do EVERYTHING. rebound, pass, handle the ball, shoot, post up, play defense.

I don't know if Mo would like coming off the bench only cuz of ego issues. West would be more accepting of that role especially with the money each of them make. But I agree that West did very well especially in games 5 and 6.

I hate the Cavs, but this guy is a really underrated player. He can drive to the basket and finish with contact, and has a deadly jumper. I rather have him then Mo any day of the week.

he can come to the heat if the cavs don't want him

I have nothing but respect for West, he battles depression, a serious mental illness that has taken not only the careers of countless others, but many lives as well. The fact that he was able to openly admit it was huge for all of those who suffer. He is also a lock down defender.

he is a backup point guard and because the cavs ran him and mo together led to their loss in the ECF mike brown isnt that good of a coach or he would have adapted and delonte isnt more than a scoring backup point guard. In fact id rather have eddie house because at least he can go off and have 30 then lebron wouldnt have to carry the cavs

Delonte's been my favorite NBA player since he first put on a Celtic uniform. It's not even close, either. Seeing him tossed in to the Seattle deal when they then didn't even use him is one of my low points as a Celtics fan.

West has got some game. I watched him alot when on the Celtics. In my opinion, he shouldnt be a started but a solid bench player. As a 2 guard he cannot keep up with the elite of the league ie Ray Allen, RIP, Ben Gordon, Mayo, Roy, Kobe, Wade etc

I really miss him as a member of the Celtics. I wish there was a way we didn't have to trade him for Ray Allen, but we couldn't.

He isn't great, but he's gritty, and he tries as hard as anyone.

Delonte is the man.

He is a good player and would be a lethal 6th man off the bench for the Cavs if they get a bigger 2 guard this offseason like they should.

He's an underated player that hasn't yet been put in a situation to maximize his talent and abilities. Clevland better hold on to him.
