Good ol' blogger/NBA player Gilbert! He's been MIA for so long I can't remember how he even plays, BUT do you think he'll come back and be the same player? Hell, will he have the same impact? Will he regain his super star status as a top player in the league and be a prolific scorer again? Or will his injury still plague him and the rest of his career to the point that he will never ever be the same player again?

These are all questions regarding the future of Mr. Arenas and how he will help his team.

What do you guys think? Any predictions and what do you expect out of him?

I expect him to continue to be a low efficient high scorer type player.

I believe he will come back to be one of the top scorers in the league. In the 2 games he did play, he seemed fine and put up 13 ppg. The injuries will prolly stay with him but the long lasting surgeries prolly won't be a problem anymore, just mainly soreness and such.

22ppg, 5apg, 5rpg, 44% FG, 38% 3, 85% FT

He'll still be annoying and overrated.

I believe he'll return and then get injured again.

I think he'll get force fed the ball and probably put up like 28ppg, 5apg, 40% FG. After the contract they gave him, the Wizards NEED Arenas to put numbers up.

Arenas is plain awful, he still remains one of the most overated players in the league. Wizards Management was beyond stupid to give him the contract they did.

Have to agree.

Well when he came back for his two games, he had a 20-1 assist to turnover ratio. I can't wait for him to return. He has already proven he can score on any player, and has started to pass the ball more. Depending on who the Wizards draft, will determine how he does. If we get a pg, and move him to SG, his PPG will be around the same, but if he keeps running the point position, I see his assists going up.

All you haters are all just jealous. Ha. You wish you could be a top scorer in the NBA and win as many games as he has quit hatin!

He will return like he was in the 06-07 season, with better efficiency.

29 ppg 6 apg 4 rpg 2 spg 42%

He plays a very inefficient form of basketball. Hes just a stat filler.

Can the Wizards convert Gilbert Arenas into a SG?

Well he already is some what of a ball hog when he is a PG so why not make him into a SG.

He'll be an all star next year.

If healthy, he'll score 26 a game, 5 assists a game, 4 rebounds, shooting 41%, and leading the league in turnovers.

He'll continue to be the most overrated player in the NBA.

Edit: glad to see people agree with me.

You guys who aren't big Gilbert fans still have to admit that it is very entertaining when he is nailing game winning shots and celebrating before it actually goes in the hoop. I really like his swagger. It can be a bit too much sometimes, though.

If he returns healthy he'll average a double double.

21.3 ppg/11.1 apg/2.2 rpg/3.4 spg

I think he's a top 3 pg when healthy.

WHOA!!!

11.1 apg???

Huh?? He's never averaged more than 6.3 in his career? Why is he all of a sudden going to turn into an 11 assist player? That's Chris Paul territory. 11.1 would lead the league...

You must be joking.

He's also never averaged more than 2 steals a game...let alone 3.4.

It's a bold prediction. I think he'll come back more as a facilitator. I predict 0 will have a breakout year.

As tracy mcgrady.

Sounds crazy right? I've been told that but that's what i believe.

I think you and I know that Tracy McGrady is well past his prime.

He won't average more than 23 points per game at best.

Not sure what to expect from him actually. Hopefully he isn't injured again.

I love Gilbert. I'll never forget when he lit up the Lakers for sixty in Staples. There's no doubt he'll be a good player, we saw that at the end of this season. The question is, will he play well enough to merit his contract.
