If officiating becomes consistent Lakers should be able to close out the series.

Or it could stay consistently bad, and give the home team the advantage. Nuggets should show some mental toughness and win.

Melo needs to get back to where he was in the last series and in Game 1, do you guys think he may be hurt? Without checking the numbers, it seemed like he sat alot in Game 5, but I could be wrong.

Another tight game this will be. And very physical.

Hey BTown, I think the Lakers have a chance on winning in Denver. They may win, they might not, but.....

I know they have a better chance then the Celtics on hoisting another title! How's that vacation doing ya? Let's all pray the Garnett's knee makes a full recovery and we get another shot at redemption!

I keep hearing the Nuggets had the win, yet it was tied at the end of each quarter before the end. How does that = control?

Anyways, 105-97 Lakers.

Cimos21

While officiating has been inconsistent to say the least, I suspect the rest of the series will be called fairly loosely. Players/coaches mainly complain about too many fouls, not too few. I predict the game will be very physical and there will be less calls all around. That being said, if there is a scruffle between the teams, the NBA will do what they usually do and then call 8 techs and 8 flagrants and 100 fouls for the rest of the game. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

As for the game, I would say it depends on 2 scenarios. (1) Birdman and JR Smith: They make the biggest difference for the Nuggets and if they play bad I dont see the Nuggets winning. For the Lakers it's LO and 3 pt shooting (all 3 pt guards, sasha, and ariza). When those guys are hitting 3s and LO is mashing 15 rebounds off the bench, the Lakers are pretty tough to beat. If both teams do well in these departments, we will be looking at a tight game, that may come down to who has the ball last.
Scenario (2): Lakers play good team Defense, and Kobe drops 40+. If Kobe takes over the game with 40+ and the lakers play decent defense, Lakers will win.

My prediction: 105-103...Kobe hitting the game winner with time expiring. Aren't the Lakers overdue for one of those?

Blah Blah Blah

i know thats why i said it was half half scarcasm, he isnt going to be washed up but not going to avg as much ppg as this year.

He shouldn't have to if Farmar, Brown, Ariza, Bynum and others continue to get better.

Luckily he's still 21 I think. He's got plenty of time to keep learning GOOD defense.

Billups has looked turrrible this series.

It's because we have big defenders. I said that before the series even though nobody would listen. Fisher, Kobe and Brown are the perfect defenders on Billups. They're really big and are just as quick.

Keep complaining about the refs, we got badb calls too thru out the series... I dnt see anyone complaining but u laker fans

Are you turning your head every single time Jones, Karl, Billups and Martin whines to the refs? Plus, when someone gets up to four fouls, they have to sit. The last two were clearly crap. That's a HUGE plus for Denver with how Ariza has been killing them.

One of your most vocal Nuggets supporters has also been very outspoken about the refs.

He's actually pretty terrible.

He's had a bad shooting year but he does so many things other things on the court. He gets us free Ts after free Ts. He had like 2 FTs called on his defender in game 3. Remember that taunt by JR Smith?

He's also had a 20 point explosion last year in the finals. He's not so bad IMO. He's a good role player and when you have players as irritating as he is, you'll grow to like him.
