I like the format throughout the playoffs as 2-2-1-1-1, but the Championship format is different.

Championship format is 2-3-2.

I personally don't like it. I feel if you lose one game at home the next 3 games are on the road which is tough for any team. I feel the format that they use throughout the playoffs before the championship is the best way to do it and keeps it fair.

What do you guys think? Is the championship format fair?

I think they do it. because when it's east versus west. it's a long trip to go back and forth. on the 1-1-1 games. so that way they only have to do a few trips rather than 5 trips back and forth.

No its not, and it gives the away team an advantage. But if you steal one on the road you get 3 home games and you could end a series that wouldve gone 7 in the other format in 5 if you take care of HCA

ever heard of jet lag? they wouldn't be able to play every other day if it was the playoff format.

yeah is fair, a true championship team could win on a road so it doesn't matter how the format is

I'm not really a big fan of it, especially for the fans of the team with homecourt. If the series goes 5 games, they wouldn't get to see their team at home, and I think a 3 game homestand is too long for a lower seed.

I'm not a fan of it, should just stick to the 2-2-1-1-1.

agreed. it should stay 2-2-1-1-1...if a championship team is expected to win on the road, then a championship team should also be able to play through jet lag. Jet lag is not a good enough excuse to go to a 2-3-2 format and give the lesser team the advantage.
