There's been no sign that Denver won't win this series. It will be interesting if they can keep this up. I'd like Denver to win, but I'd rather have a Lakers/Cavs finals.

superkegger
05-23-2009, 09:46 PM
The nuggets have had a lot of easy layups and dunks, but they're still only shooting just over 40%. They're 1-11 from 3. If the Lakers can cut down the easy hoops, then we have a real chance, because the Nuggets just aren't making a ton of shots. We have to cut down the fouls as well, or at least start fouling the guys who can't make FT's. Melo is having a good game pretty much because of the FT line. If we can take that away and just make him make those long jumpers, we'll be in much better shape.

I'm so pissed. I could hardly watch the first half because of crap streams. (justin tv was telling me they had too many connections for my country - a-holes).

Finally did one of those software install things that looks like it's working solid now, so I should be in for the second half.

------------------

One thing I wanted to mention when the game started (before getting distracted by my streaming issues) was that JVG is on crack if he thinks that the home court actually should work against Denver because they'd be "drunk" on their home court-ness or something. Anyone else catch that comment? WTF?

Agreed. His presence in these playoffs has been non-existent. I LOL when Lakers fans say they would have won the Finals last year if Bynum was healthy. He barely would have made any difference. On top of that, this injury thing is starting to become pretty common with him. Can you say injury prone?

Denver's resiliency continues to impress me. I don't know if most Lakers fans are aware at how much better this current team is at bouncing back than the previous one (last year's playoff series should drive the point home, though), but right now was a great example, when L.A. caught up to tie the score right out of the gates there, and the Nugs didn't panic or lose heart or get that deer in the headlights "oh **** here they come" mentality to take themselves out of the game. Might seem trivial to fans of a team that's a perennial contender, but it's a new thing for us, and great to see.

If I'm running the league, that's a flagrant 2. There are certain things, that, undercutting dunkers, sticking your foot out intentionally under jump shooters, that should be 2's, those things could seriously hurt someone.

Actually, I agree with that. But whatever was called - no call or T, the application should have been applied equally to both of them.

Martin went out of his way to bump fisher and fish pushed back, that is clearly a double tech.
