I just found out at the beginning of the month, but why the hell did the Royals get rid of Leo Nunez??? I was hoping that the Tigers would go after him, but then next thing I see he is on the Marlins?!?!

We got Mike Jacobs for him in a trade.

Jacobs is on course to hit 36 home runs and drive in 92.

really? i didnt know he was doing that good. He has always had good power though so maybe it works out. I really liked Nunez though thats all i was saying.

Moore knows how to build a bullpen, and has restocked the pen again this year. Jacobs also has been providing some leadership in the clubhouse. The Royals certainly needed that too. Just too bad he's awful at 1B.

I liked Nunez too! But, Juan Cruz is almost the same pitcher! maybe even a smidge better!

Ya he is awful at 1b, but that is why they are switching billy butler over there and DH for jacobs.

If the Royals had more income they might be able to afford better players

I would look for the Royals salary to go around 85 million next year.

He's also batting .227 with and .OBP of .309. He's really not that good a ball player.

Then again I don't see much to get thrilled about with Nunez either. So to me it looks like a average reliever was traded for a below average first baseman

nunez has taken over the marlins closer role. that trade goes in the books as a loss.
