With the Lakers winning and the Magic winning, Home Teams are 83-21 in Game 7's of playoff series. That is a rate of 80%.

So essentially out of every five game 7's, one road team will win the game.

In both scenarios today the best team won. HCA or not

I still believe Orlando winning over Boston was an upset.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised that Orlando won, but at the same time, I believe they should have won in 5 or 6 games.

Why?

Why?

because Boston was the champs and they live on taking a series to 7 games and winning.

Why?

Boston had HCA, they still were the champs and they had the finals mvp on their team. Also Orlando hadn't proven much yet.

The stats would be even more in favor of home teams if McGrady never played in the NBA.
