Howard guaranteed a victory tonight for orlando, lets hope he's right.

This game is turning in Orlando's favor...

Scalabrine can't guard anyone on the floor. They need to go to zone when he's on the floor, but they can't do that against such a great 3 point shooting team.

game 7

Yeah, I'm happy we won, but we didn't play great ball. Turk ! Where are you ?

Have you guys seen Rafer kissing the Refs bald ? Dwight and him should try some slapstick together ...

05-15-2009, 06:25 AM
we need a 3rd scorer, lee has 9pts last 2games, pietrus mia offensively

05-15-2009, 08:43 AM
Dwight made good on the first part of his promise. Now he's gotta do good on the second part.........win the series, in boston.

So we finally found away to win a game when we shoot horrible again...god's gonna give us a break right? let us shoot at least 50% from the floor, and at least 40% from 3 land. we're do, i'm feelin a if not a great shooting night in game 7 at least a solid one, to land us the W

I'm obviously happy we won the game but I didn't like how we played. I thought the whole force feed it to Howard wasn't our best stragedy. People would be passing up opens shots to get it into Howard, granted we won but we were losing the entire game, I think it was our defense that won the game for us last night. I don't really think the key to winning is getting Howard the ball, I think its more the pace of the game, pushing it to spread the floor and getting our open shots. Also I want to see Lewis shoot more, with the way he's been playing imagine if he was taking 20-25 shots per game, I think we would be better off then Howard taking that many.

I like Reddick but I hope we start Lee in game 7. He didn't get many min and when he came in he knocked down 2 open shots without missing a beat. Clutch considering he's a rookie.

i hope reddick is traded this summer. we need an athletic wingman, ie iggy steve jax etc

Yeah... I think JJ can be more productive as a backup than a starter...

My only reasoning for explaining why SVG stuck with JJ so long is that JJ's defense on Ray Ray has been amazing. Stan also realizes he needs to use Lee on House. House isn't getting the minutes he got early on in the series, which is part of the reason Lee isn't either. House's release is so much quicker than Ray's, so JJ can't really guard him. JJ can run behind Ray and around the screens all day, but he can't guard House. That's why Stan has been saving Lee for later in the game.

But in game 7, Lee needs to be the man. If Redick can guard Ray, Lee can. And House isn't getting the minutes he was. Start Lee, keep him in when House is in, and bring JJ in when you can.

JJs been able to keep up with Ray Allen whenever Ray feels like playing ring-around-the-court.

Maybe that's all Ray can do now. Maybe that's all he's got left in the tank. I don't see why they keep doing it otherwise...and don't try taking JJ one-on-one. I mean, if JJ is shutting down your best shooter, you know you're doing something wrong.

I love how the Magic are defending Allen and House with Redick and Lee.
I love how the Magic are trapping Paul Pierce, and doubling him quickly.
I love how the Magic are leaving Rondo wide open at times, forcing him to either shoot, or have to get real creative. He made some shots last night he wont make on any given night. He's a bad shooter.

Gotta give SVG a ton of credit for those three things. The defense the Magic played last night was phenomenal. Probably the best I've seen all year. Great scheming by SVG.

^^^^^^^^^^^ I agree, I do think this is the best defense we've played all year for the above stated reasons. We're making their role players beat us, I wonder if we would use the same stragety vs the Cavs....hmmmmmm, anyways this series first. Our defense is on point, I'm just worried about our offense, I think we're still trying to "find ourselves" in the playoffs and not playing Magic basketball, we forget what won us 59 games and are trying to change how we run our offense. I like seeing Howard get more touches but I want to see Lewis shoot more. Lewis should be our #1 scorer in this series.

In any case I can't wait for game 7. Hopefully we come out on top and get ready for the Cavs.
