The Celtics go so much heart. They play with an extreme amount of pride and passion for the game. Theres a reason I keep watching despite these awful refs.

sometimes that passion leads to technicals....EDDIE! haha

but more often than not, that Celtics Pride leads to tough victories.

I got Celtics in 7. Another tough series, but I think they got it in them. watching Pierce and Ray play desparate is amazing. they played flawless.

kinda weird to think Boston is the host team.

I got Orlando in 6. Dwight will either make or break the Magic in this series. Perkins is an extremely physical player. Dwight will either have Perkins/Big Baby in foul trouble the whole series, or Dwight will be on the bench in foul trouble.

I'm thinking Orlando in 6

DODGERS&LAKERS
05-03-2009, 05:50 AM
Orlando in 6. The Celtics got taken to the brink against a jump shooting team with no interior offense worth speaking of. The Bulls defense is not as good as the Magics as well. Howard should have a field day as long as he can keep his elbows to himself

I gotta go with the Celtics, in 6 or 7. Howard is gonna have to bring his A game if the Magic are to have a chance, but the Celts just have too many outside shooters to counter D12's defense.

Agree that if the Celts make it past Orlando, KG will be back for the Cavs.

Is KG supposed to play in this series?

Lakersfan2483
05-03-2009, 02:21 PM
Boston has the advantage on the perimeter with their guards in Rondo, Pierce and Allen, but Orlando has the advantage up front with Howard, Hedo and R. Lewis. If Orlando can steal a game in Boston, they definitely can win this series. For Orlando to win this series, Dwight Howard can't just be good, he has to be "GREAT!" Also, Turkologu and Lewis must step up even more.

Casper
05-03-2009, 02:21 PM
Celtics win this series in 6 or 7. You live by the 3 you will die by the 3 and that's exactly what will happen to Orlando. Teams like that never advance too far in the playoffs.

Orlando got chumped by the physical Pistons this year...even without KG, Boston is even more physical and talented.

I think Boston will win pure because of the intangibles They won't quit, and Orlando has still to answer lots of questions about their toughness.

If I was Doc Rivers I would start Scal at PF so he can guard Lewis. Scal is a better perimeter defender than Baby and if Perk gets into foul trouble we can put Baby in to cover Dwight Howard. If he starts Baby and him and Perk get into foul trouble thenb we have absolutely nobody to guard Howard. Doc needs to think this series a little more because if he doesn't use the right rotations we could have match up problems all series long.

Rondo got his **** together and played his normal game tonight. Pretty much scatted on the whole Magic roster. He was flat out amazing again. I find it funny how if Lebron or Kobe were to get a triple double in these playoffs everyone would be ******** there pants in excitement. RAJON RONDO HAS THREE and still people deny his game and doubt? Keep it going please. Say he cant shoot. I say i dont care. What he does do good is DAMN GOOD and when he gets that shot down pat it will be scary. I think the Celtics are the better team with or without Garnett. Only Howard rebounds the ball and we as a team rebound so we can out rebound this team easily. We have to come an guard the Three hard and we can. It will be a good tough series. We come out and play aggressive and attack the hoop early in game 3 i think we can win it and take back whats rightfully ours, homecourt lol

Even though Boston lost, they will emerge a much better team next season with the emergence of guys like Big Baby and House, and the improvement of Rondo. Doc will now have the luxury to rest KG even more next season...because the way Big baby has played this series.

The Celtics will be contenders again next season.

False. They showed how old they looked this series. Rondo's "improvement" was mostly in the Bulls series only to have a letdown in the Magic series. If anything, it shows how inconsistent he is. Also, House has been the same pure shot instant offense for years now. This year didn't bring that to light.

The Celtics were taken down a notch or two and won't have that same swagger next season. Sure, they'll contend but they most definitely won't be the f avorite to win it all again, especially if the roster remains virtually unchanged.

Yeah...Rondo only went 14/10/8 vs. the Magic. That sure is horrible. The only person I think age is becoming a problem for is Ray Ray. He's become one dimensional offensively. Paul is fine, KG will be back and healthy. Perk, Big Baby (if he's back), and Powe will continue to get better and better.

House was too inconsistent, but he might not be back. They'll be better down low next year, waaaay better. If they can find another bench player who is more effective than House, kind of like Posey was for them in 07-08, they'll be fine.

And lack of swagger??? Ha. No team has more heart, and I bet they come back with more motivation than ever. They won't be the favorites, duh, but they'll contend.

Nobody choked. The Magic took the game. Boston played a good game . They never quit. Orlando just kept throwing daggers with all those threes. Orlando played great defense. Boston had to work for evrything. And Rondo killed Boston. With the presence of Howard they almost didnt even have to play him. It was like 4 on 5. And that was a big diffrence. Perkins stunk the joint up last night. For onec he wasnt in foul trouble but yet never challenged all those runners the Magic were making. Hats off to Orlando they earned it without a doubt, no excuses see you next year.

One more than you have.

The Celtics certainly should be good going into next year - A healthy KG, Ray, and of course Paul back to lead the way. Rondo was outstanding in the Playoffs - Anyone that says he was inconsistent in the Playoffs wasn't watching. The guy was insane in the Bulls series, so it only makes sense his numbers would take a dip in the second round (and even that dip still gave him very respectable numbers).

Now, if Baby is back next year, then I've got a good amount of confidence, because he really came on the final 8 weeks of the season or so. But, he's a free agent and just may take the bigger payday elsewhere.

They won't be the favorites, duh, but they'll contend.

thanks man. shows u respect your opponent.

Boston really impressed me the way they played without KG. I thought they would lose to CHI in 7, than I thought for sure the Magic would win in 6, Big Baby showed he is one of the better big men off the bench in the league, Rondo showed he indeed is an elite PG, and Ray Allen showed he can still hit dagger 3s like no other. They need a better backup for Perk who is over 6'8, someone to replace Tony Allen in Poseys role, and a better backup PG who can get people involved and they are championship contenders again ...... and I hate them
