Why am I always disagreeing with it? Seems to me he either takes pitchers out to early or leaves em' in too long. Hind sight is always 20/20 but man, seems like when he pulls a pitcher in a jam the next guy gives up the runs. Seay is the exception, he has been keeping his composure and getting the outs in jams and doing his job. Jackson's pitch count was getting high in the 2nd Yankee game but he's a horse get him past the 7th even in jams. As for Perry I get that you need to handle a young pitcher with delicate hands but feed him to the lions like they did with Bonderman and Verlander. They gained so much from that the next season. I'd say do what Billy Martin use to do, you got in the jam get yourself out of the jam. When can we trade or release Robertson and Lyon?

i wouldn't mind getting rid of lyon and robertson right now. we need bullpen help badly, and them 2 aren't doing anything

I don't get what you wanted in that situation. Jackson was over or near 100 pitches going into the 7th and was having trouble getting quick outs. Perry has a few holds this season and had been pretty solid prior to that outting. The only thing i might have done differently is maybe gone to Zoom or Seay in that situation.

I think we really need two area's in our pen. We need another Lefty specialist.. Rapada and Robertson are garbage. We also need another middle relief arm. Rincon hasn't been that good and Lyon who was supposed to be our closer.. is barely serviceable as a middle relief guy. I wouldn't mind seeing us maybe make a run at Jose Valverde when he comes off the DL. I know he is a closer but that would allow several things to occur. Rodney goes down to 8th inning duty. Zoom takes over 7th inning role. Seay is our late inning lefty specialist. Perry and Zoom could actually alternate the 7th inning role. Therefore we would have 5 late inning arms... which would allow for 1 lefty middle relief arm and 1 righty middle relief arm. I think Miner would be that righty arm.

The thing is with Lyon and Robertson they throw strikes but they aren't fooling anybody. Maybe scientifically morph them with Willis.
