Are the playoffs based on seeding or brackets?

As in do the brackets get re-shuffled every round? or do teams travel through brackets and play it that way?

Are the Cavs def facing the winner of ATL and MIA?
or will they play Philly if they some how win the series since they are a lower seed?

the playoffs are based on bracket. so clev would verse the winner of the atl mia series, LA wiould face the winner of the portland houston series etc etc.....

Yeah, its a straight bracket, but I think they should nix it and reshuffle it every round like the NFL does.

ok thanks guys.

i really thought it was seeding. it makes a lot more sense to be seeding. Brackets is kinda unfair in a way. The highest seed should always get the favorable match up.

imagine if Boston ends up playing philly while cleveland is playing Atl. defeats some of the purpose of fighting for top seed.
