Would you rather want the lottery to be just after the season ends and playoffs start, right after the playoffs or the current system where it is in the middle of the playoffs?

I like it better if it started earlier for 2 reasons

1. It gives teams more time to think about what they are going to do during the off-season
2. Gives players that are entering the draft to have an idea of where they might get drafted

I don't really like it during the playoffs because the playoffs is about elite teams and it doesn't really make sense talking about crappy teams.

And after playoffs, it doesn't really give much time because playoffs end in June and the Draft is usually the last week of June.

Would you want it before playoffs or during playoffs?

I like it the way it is now so I can hear my Bobcats mentioned during playoff time...:(

I'm fine with the way it is. After the playoffs would be too late, because there would only be like 2 and a half weeks for teams to prepare. So either before the playoffs or during is what I think works best.

I like it after.

Too distracting during the playoffs IMO. And the NBA needs some time to fill after the playoffs and before the draft, so that brings alot of attention.

Does anyone know what date they pick the draft order? Thanks!

in the last round is perfect. Those teams don't care, and can afford to have a group involved. The current format should change. The bottom 6 teams should have a lottery, then the next 8 should have one too. That will prevent an underachieving team, or a team that had a bad injury but will be quickly recovered, from jumping over everyone.

Draft lotter is fine where its at. They have over a month to do nothing but evaluate prospects. Plus they have the pre draft workouts to work anything else out. Plus, lottery teams know they're in the lottery, its not like the, for instance the wolves aren't thinking about who they're going to draft because they probably won't get the #1 pick.

IMO they should get rid of the Lottery and do it like the NFL just whos worst gets the first pick.
