View Full Version : Scout: Jermaine O'Neal 'Looks Shot'

04-22-2009, 08:52 PM
A veteran NBA scout wasn't very impressed with the performance of Miami center Jermaine O'Neal in Game 1 against Atlanta.

"He didn't even look into it, wasn't ready for the ball on passes. You've got to show some emotion in the playoffs. He looks shot," the scout told the Miami Herald.

The Heat are 13-15 with O'Neal in the lineup, including 1-9 on the road.

i couldnt agree more, the guy looks like a mediocre big man, if even that

Looks great in game 2

Yup^. Doesn't look too shot tonight. I think it's more mental than physical. Obviously he's aged some but he's not near done IMO.

Hes always come up short in the playoffs for one reason or another, that wont end in Miami.

He was a corpse in game 1.

bad timing haha

He must have read this thread.

He must have read this thread.:laugh2: I think he did

I think what we should expect from him is something inbetween what he did in the first two games of the series. Guys can't be afraid to get all up on him, because he doesn't have the explosive first step that he used to anymore.

does he look shot? could have fooled me tonight....

no but really, he has been pretty suspect w/ his play lately. I'd love for him to perform like he did tonight on a regular basis. prolly not gonna happen.

Its cool let people think hes "shot" and he'll be the underdog. works out for us.

04-22-2009, 11:19 PM
yeah like an NBA scout would know what someone looks like "shot"
if i were jermaine which im not....i would take a shot at that but there is no way to go about it besides sounding "Racist"

Jermaine has allways been a bit of a head case IMO. Kinda like a split personality player. Sometimes he seems like he wants it and other times it seems like he couldn't care less.

He looked nasty trailing that play with a nasty 2 handed flush! I felt Jermaine on that one, he needed that *****.

J O'Neal has always just played when he wanted to. Same back in Indiana. He's old and his name is famous, but he can still play when he wants to.

Yup, he played well.
