Iggy should definitely get some love. He had the clutch step back game winner against the heavily favored Magic. But I guess I shouldn't expect anything different, nobody has given him any respect all season long. He deserved to be an All Star just as much if not more than Danny Granger.

Not only that, but he played some very nice defense against CP3, too, which is a tough thing for his older, slower self to do. Truly, a nearly perfect game from Billups.

It should also be pointed out that his 8 assists came with zero turnovers.

8-9 from the arc (on 10-15 overall shooting) and 8-8 from the FT line, while playing a key role in limiting Paul's effectiveness is more impressive to me than Yao's 9-9 and 6-6.

But hell, 24 points on 9 fgas or 36 points on 15 fgas, can't take anything away from either.

I voted for Billups...it's impressive that at his 32 years of age he has made the supposed face of the franchise, Carmelo Anthony a legitimate second banana.

Chauncey Billups is one of the greatest players in the league and proof that leadership and unselfishness are as integral parts of the game as what shows up on boxscores...if not MORE.

Lebron, Its to nobodys surprise that he scored, but its still an impresive number
Rose, I hate to be a hommer, but he was impresive, 1 point and 1 assist over Chauncy, all as a ROK, Id put his prefromance right next to lebron
Chauncy, I didnt see it but his stats seem good
Dwight Howard, Lead his team, but yet they lost

Rose!! It's not even close, it was his rookie debut and he was playing with less against a a championship team expected to go to back to the Conference Finals on their home court (Not to mention that it was the GARDEN). He put his team on his back throughout crucial stretches of the game and was efficient as hell while posting a double double and matching an NBA record without any championship experience. Come on how can anyone say otherwise.

The only question now is can Mitch slip the Bulls GM a mickey and pull off a Vujacic for Rose trade.

Most of the people on PSD are fanatics and obviously have some knowledge of the game, even if their opinions differ from yours, so I guess in your mind only your opinion comes from truth and facts and everyone else's is brainwashed.

He was good, but most people on this thread have given a top 3 or top 5 list, and there's no way he belongs on anyone's list that high.

And that's my point with Iggy, he doesn't necessarily have to get people's vote for #1, but for those people who have chosen to list their top 3-5 performers, he definitely belongs on there.....especially ahead of guys whose team's didn't even win the game

Rose, Devin arent at their level. Deron is still living off his playoff reputation from 2 years ago. Once that hype settles down and Chauncey leads the Nuggets to depths they hadnt even imagined possible when the season started will overtake that attention hopefully and people will see whats been true for a long time now. Billups has always been the games 2nd best PG, Nash and Kidd at their best were better, and his career intertwined with theirs, but hes been stable and always up there.
