Like the title says:

IMO; with KG and Manu out, things look brighter for the Bulls and Mavs. I think both teams are the front runners for a possible upset. If you can call it that.

the one and only upset there will be is Jazz vs lakers. Cause everyone thinks they Lakers are a automatic lock for the finals. so really any team that beats them is a Upset.

^^Agreed.

In the west that is..if any of the lower seeds win, except the Jazz, I wouldnt really call it an upset. It's not a knock on Utah either, its just that the Lakers are that much better then everyone right now. The teams are pretty evenly matched.

The Bulls. They are my team for this year's playoffs, what have I got to lose? But the absence of KG will help Chicago alot, its just to see how they exploit that now.

Of all the possible upsets, you pick the one least likely to happen

I am going with the Mavs over the Spurs. It's not a big upset, but the closest I think there will be to one.

we can all hope, but they have been playing very well this year, for them to just drop off is a fantasy imo

but I would love if we could do it, but with the way the jazz have played lately its doubtful, although it would be friggin awesome!!!!

You cant call any teams in the 2-7 matchups in the West an upset. I mean there was only like a two game difference between 2 and 7. Thats not an upset....

Avery Johnson said that the Sixers could upset the Magic. I don't know if he really believes that, or if he's somehow lobbying for the head coaching job with the team lol

The sixers can upset the Magic. If the Magic 3 ball isnt falling, they are in trouble.

agreed, but you are gonna get slammed by Laker fans on PSD who already bought their champions 09' shirts. Utah is a good matchup against LA on paper.

Might not be much difference but the team with HCA should win.

pistons over the cavs

I think in the east, any team could be an upset. Detroit could beat anyone on any court, even if they dont have chauncy.

Bulls can ( probably not ) pull an upset on the Celtics.

The Sixers could beat the Magic, due to injury.

D wade could beat the Hawks.

Im not so sure

The only series that would be upsets would be if the Jazz beat the lakers, Pistons took the Cavs, Bulls beat the Celtics and Sixers beat the Magic.

Out of those the most likely to happen is probably the Pistons, maybe even the Bulls.

but I will pull for my Jazz until the fat lady sings

Any series where the team with HCA loses is an upset as far as I am concerned. With that said, Boston losing to Chicago would be the biggest upset as we don't even have a star player and we are the 7th seed.

It would be an upset, but the fact that KG wasn't there will always be there.

Also I don't think Chicago can win the series after the loss the other night. They needed that win big time. I felt it when the game was going on, whoever won game 2 was going to win the series.

Obviously if KG was there we wouldn't win, but the Celtics are still the favorite and were the favorite before the series started knowing KG wasn't going to be aorund.

^That is true, since the Celtics were still winning with KG out. But now they're missing him and Powe. They are just too shorthanded right now-it would be very surprising to actually see the Bulls beat the Celtics in 6 or 7, but not a major shock. A major shock would be a healthy Bulls team beating a healthy Celtics team.
In the West, I really don't think there will be any major upsets. Even the Jazz beating the Lakers wouldn't be beyond belief, because they can be a formidable team...but not on the road, oddly.
