What player/s will break out in this years playoffs?

To me it seems like this is Brandon Roy breakout party to put him in that superstar status.

Hate to say it first JB, but KB will "break out" this year with a finals mvp and his 4th ring...I'd bet my left pinky finger and my two stupid dogs that it happens. B Roy is plain silly but him and Portland will falter versus KB and the Lake Shows hunger.

If the definition of breakout means player with limited or no playoff experience:
Brandon...Roy...Roy Roy ROy......
John Salmons

If by definition you mean best new talent...
Michael Beasley
Derrick Rose

No, he played in a couple games in the 1st round against PHX couple yrs back, but in all reality, this is the first true playoff run.

Bynum will break out.

Brandon roy will break out.

The orlando magic will break out.

Labron will dominate, but not win a title.

Kobe will remove monkey from back and begin a dynasty.

The celtics will cry in their beer and proclaim that the only reason that they did not win the title is because of KG's knees.

I will celebrate and do the I hate boston dance.

Yeah that's what I thought, what was he 18 and coming off the bench then...now a 21 year old monstar starting and will break out along side KB...how you've grown AB.

i really think josh howard has alot to prove. he's been playing great basketball since he came back from injury. i think he wants to erase his dumb actions in last years playoffs from everyone's memory. my answer is josh howard.

Too bad this thread is not about LA and the Superstar that Kobe is. MJ asked who was going to breakout to become a Superstar.

Here is who I think have the possibility:

Roy
D.Rose
Iguodala
Joe Johnson
Artest (longshot, but I think he will play exceptionally well, plus he is in a contract year)
Tayshaun Prince (I know they will lose, but I bet Pistons do give Cavs some trouble due to Prince's D on Lebron and the world and ESPN might finally give him some credit for being a great player)

I think these guys have a chance to be somebody everybody says :wow, I did not know he was THIS good:

Ariza
Ronnie Brewer
Ty Thomas
Luis Scola
Brandon Roy (Oden is still the best known player on that team nationally)
Derrick Rose
Julian Wright (been waiting on him)
Thad Young
Beasley
Nene

I hope Iggy or Thad Young breaks out but I'm not sure if Iggy ever will. I think Thad will at some point but I don't know if it's this playoffs, I sure as hell hope so though. To me Brandon Roy has already gone to the next level.

A breakout player would probably have to be around for a while in the playoffs for it to really count as "breaking out".

but I would have to say Thaddeus Young. Because if he does break out the Sixers may be around longer than most think. That way he will finally get the recognition he deserves for the outstanding year he had this year.

I think Melo will step up, Deron Williams will put up a heroic effort, I think Joe Johnson has the potential

Thad Young and Derrick Rose are my hopes. Andrew Bynum, I understand there was alot of talk about him missing the Finals last year, but will he be that important to the run this year? Genuine question.

Rose (will step up for his team, create, and provide headaches for opposing defenses)
Yao Ming (he will show he can elevate his game and get his team past the 1st round and compete with anyone)
Beasley(will get more minutes and emerge as one of the top rookies in the playoffs giving miami legitimate help in points and on the boards)
