Go figure, everyone pretty much picked Lebron for MVP. He is that good this year! Lebron deserves it over Kobe and Wade!

Brown and Lebron are both worthy of their awards, but I have never been a big fan of having the COY and MVP come from the same team. Just seems silly when there are so many other candidates for both awards that didn't have the privilege of having one or the other.

how is odom in there for the 6th man award? he started alot of games. Then I vote lebron the 6th man.

Mike brown easy. best record in the NBA, also best defense team in the NBA and still scoring around 100PPG. common thats a no brainer.

That all looks about right, but i'd give MVP to Wade. Imagine that team without Dwade. The Cavs and Lakers are still good compared to the heat without Wade.

Lebron will get it though.

Bargnani deserves some most improved consideration. In fact, he deserves the award. Anyone who consistently watches the Raptors can say that. He's gotten so much basketball IQ wise and on the defensive end.

I just lost all respect for Tim Legler he said Lebron was DPOY

Mine:

MVP - LeBron
DPOY - Howard
MIP - Harris
6TH - Terry
Coach - Karl

So yeah, I think they did a good job... Granger and Harris are a toss up and I can't argue the best record getting HC.... I still prefer Karl, but not bad.

you cant just change the criteria suddenly

if we went by what you said
lebron wins it last year
kobe wins it the year before

but because they didnt, you cant give it to wade this year.

You have to start doing the right thing sometime right? I mean if it stayed that way do you want more players to get screwed out of it who deserve a shot just because others did before too does that make any sense to you???

danny granger mip for sure... all the other guys mentioned got increased minutes and thus increased stats... danny granger's playing the same minutes but went from a role player to looking like a perennial allstar...

Man if Thad hadnt got hurt he would have been in the discussion for MIP. Not saying he was gonna win it, but at least a little more recognition would have been good for him.

Granger for MIP.

How does the NBA determine who gets the awards? Do the coaches vote or does Stern just decide?

I don't know about Granger for MIP. I don't know if you can say he "improved" more than some others have. If you compare last season and this season, Granger was already a good player - yes he has improved and matured but his %'s are around the same and it seemed like a pretty natural progression being that he is the goto guy on Indiana.

I would probably would have picked Devon Harris (who was definately not expected to be this good this season).. or maybe Andrea Bargnani from the Raptors. Lots of people thought he was a bust but he's REALLY improved this year (in all areas of his game).. any team who has played the Raptors sees this kid as a big threat now.

Clearly you don't watch LeBron a lot. There has been talk all year that he is a top 3 candidate for DPOY. LeBron stepped his game up a lot this year, but more so on the defensive end which made him a better all around player. It just so happens there is a 20-20 beast in the NBA named Dwight Howard, otherwise LeBron would have won DPOY.

the MIP,COY, DPOY, MVP are all good but Jr. SMith should be 6th man of the year. He helped put the Nuggets in second place. some people are so blind.
