Antawn Jamison has seen enough.

"You play selfish basketball, try to pad the stats and not play to win games, you get blown out,'' the forward said. "The same stuff has been going on all year. It gets to the point where it's frustration. I don't know. It's not playing team basketball and not doing the things you need to do in order to win."

Why 'tawn, why don't you join The Spurs. We need a good combo forward desperately :smoking:

My own feelings aside: anyone else glad a player finally called out the ugly part of the game that is statpadding, and how it cannot produce winning basketball.

There should be a Ricky Davis Award, which awards the biggest statpadder of the season.

Wow, surprised he said it, at least now, seems like weird timing but maybe he just couldn't help it. Very true though, good to see he still cares about winning.

PS, about your sig - Varejao is a bigger flopper then Manu, if Varejao saw your sig he would fall to the ground and ***** about it

Jamison always cared about winning, it's just that he isn't as big of a crybaby as the majority of the league to come out and complain all the time. One of the classiest acts in the league right now imo.

The official handout of the Vlade Divac Award 2009 is after the regular season ends...Varejao has it locked up.

Sounds like the kind of guy we need on the jazz right now. I would trade boozer for him in a heartbeat.

Antawn is so under appreciated. This suprises me too, because he is such a high character guy. But nonetheless, he gave as much as he could this season, and has gotten put up all star stats.

Anyone on Washington has to be miserable right now. That team is not going places,

Jamison has a solid point.

But Washington is struggling big time, next year with Gil and Haywood healthy, and whoever they get with their lottery pick should put them back in the playoffs, and perhaps make them an even more dangerous team if that lotto pick can produce. Losing creates a lot of frustration.
