RealistRocket34

Player A: Got to the NBA Finals once and to the 2nd round 3 times. This player has been to the playoffs 8 times.....

Player B: Has been to the playoffs 8 times, never to the finals, has been to the WCF 3 times, and has been to the 2nd round 4 times...

Neither has a ring, who has accomplished more in their career?

That's what I thought too for Player A (especially knowing Realist), but Iverson's been to the second round 3 or 4 times

This is tough to say, considering that one or both of the players could just be some role player that accomplished these feats, without really having accomplished much outside of riding the coat-tails of the players that carried them that far.

I'm going to say Player A based on what was given.

Including the year the 76ers made the finals, he's been in the second round 4 times thus far

 I looked the stats up before showing. Please go show me the stats kid.

It's actually 3 times, not 2. That was my bad, but you were off too.

I used wiki. don't know if that acceptable to you or not, but it's all there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_iverson

if you scroll down to the right near the bottom you'll see a chart with his playoff statistics. you'll notice that in 4 of these years he played in 8+ playoff games, which is impossible unless he got out of the first round

where did you get your information?

Edit: oh, it's also here if wikipedia isn't reliable enough for you: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/allen_iverson/career_stats.html

If the Championship is the goal, then it's player A. He's been closer, thus more successful.

Btw, I have a feeling player A - Dirk, and player B - Nash

I see your point, I didn't count the Finals run as a 2nd round appearance that's why. I didn't count it for Nash either.

Tough question..

But I think maybe A, I guess just making it to the finals helps in this case.

winning 2 MVP's>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>making the NBA finals.

You are using a dumb format. So because Matt Bonner has won a ring he has had a more sucsessful career than say steve nash or allen iverson, lol.

I know your not saying thats the case, im just saying thats a stupid fromat to use to judge someone's career

Maybe because there's nothing to count for Nash

1 final appearance is now some type of accomplishment......Interesting. I mean Dirk gets recognized for that all the time.... and same with LeBron.

It's really funny how every thread you start, is basically out to do one of two things:

1.) Bash Allen Iverson(with little facts or actual knowledge)

2.) To somehow prove that Yao is far superior than Dwight Howard

Seriously, you're thread about Dirk was just a way of sneaking in some AI hate, and now this one is a clear attempt at trying to use a poll to somehow prove that AI is worse than Nash

Iverson deserves all the hate I give him. Just because you slurpers don't like it doesn't mean It's not necessary.

This is a legit comparison, just go look at the poll results. Allen Iverson fans are a joke.

not really, hundreds of players have made it to the NBA finals, i dont see what is so special about not winning the NBA title.

How old are you, 12?

Your arguments are childish, and it always comes back to the same things...simple name calling.

I've presented the facts.....you have failed to have the simple capability to interpret things as basic as a game log.

Come talk to me when you actually know something.
