OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former first round draft pick Shaun Livingston to a multiyear contract.

Thunder vice president and general manager Sam Presti announced the signing Tuesday. Terms of the agreement were not announced.

Livingston is a 6-foot-7 guard who's averaged 9.5 points, 6.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 11 games with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Developmental League.

Livingston was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers with the fourth overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft and has played in 149 NBA games with the Clippers and Miami.

kinda surprising since Russell Westbrook is playing so well. If I were OKC, I would have preferred to deal with Tyson Chandler's injury risk than Shaun Livingston's. Still, depending on the money and years, this is a low risk/high reward signing.

Personally I think they are trying to stock pile young talent and make a run in a few years. This move is a solid yet risky pick up just like their acquisition of Nenad Kristic earlier this season.

Shaun Livingston is a gamble I wish the knicks had took...

Yeah but i dont no if he has fully healed to have been waived by the heat and grizz and then they sign him to a multie year deal its a risk

very true... but he's young enough to bounce back

I dont think he'll be as quick as he once was but his passing is most likely still there. If he works on that mid range jumper he could be a solid PG...

I think it's yet another great move by Sam Presti. I don't know how much the deal was for, but I'm assuming it wasn't more than a couple million for the life of the deal, and probalby not fully guaranteed. Low risk, high reward. If he returns to his previous level, they could almost even shift westbrook over to the 2 if they wanted, or they could just have a greatn pg tandem, and a valuable trade asset. Great move by Presti.
