NEW YORK -- Isiah Thomas is actively seeking work again, and he spoke several weeks ago with Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in a meeting arranged by current coach/general manager Mike Dunleavy, ESPN.com learned Wednesday.

Several NBA sources confirmed the February meeting between the former president and general manager of the New York Knicks, adding that there were follow-up discussions between Thomas and other high-ranking club officials -- but also stressing that no job has been offered.

Sterling is said to be considering adding another executive to the Los Angeles front office to alleviate some of Dunleavy's responsibilities in his dual role as coach and general manager. Former Lakers and Grizzlies general manager Jerry West was linked to a possible Clippers front office job before he publicly disavowed any interest.

Isn't Isiah on the Knicks payroll with an "unspecified" role.

I thought he was out in Europe scouting players.

I guess if you can't get one of the best GM's out there (Jerry West), you turn to one of the worst :laugh2:

This is why the Clippers have no hope. I too feel sorry for Clippers fans. When will Sterling realize he's not doing the team any favors with these kind of moves and go ahead and sell the team?

Sum*****, imma go talk to Donald Sterling.

He should just give me the job.

I will do it better and cheaper :)

On second thought.... who in their right mind would work for the Clippers????

We would never want you either anyway. Neither would any other team. This does make sense I hate to say it. This would set us back another decade which seems like the Clipper Mantra.

I actually think he is a better coach than Mike Dunleavy... then again so was Dwight Howard or Dwyane Wade at the Rookie-Sophomore game.

If they are hiring Thomas for a front office job, then thats just more proof, as if employing Mike Dunleavy wasn't enough, that the Clippers have no intention of winning games...ever.

Everyone deserves a 2nd chance and how much worst can he make the clippers?

The day he gets hired...trade for T-Mac and give him a 5 year....110 million dollar extension. Then sign Adam Morrison to the same contract.

This would be his fourth chance, he also ruined the Pacers and Raptors, not to mention running the CBA into the ground.

How can be there ANY Clippers fans if this goes down? I would not relate to or waste my money on a franchise that is not thinking about the fans.

Actually I have no idea what they are thinking about at all. If its keeps going like this then maybe they shouldn't legalize Marijuana in California after all.

Let me say this: Clippers are F%CKED!

and with that let me take this opportunity to coin a new term:

Clipper F%cked.
Example: Wow man, you just got Clipper f%cked.

Just dont let him make any trades and let him draft the players and the Clippers will do fine.

That should be the least of Clippers fans worries. Hope he doesn't sign any bums to a long term deal. That's why the Knicks are in the mess their in now.
