Who are the most popular players, with long NBA careers, but almost only utilized when a team is blown-out.

Scalabrine's probably a good example!!

Dude, if I am down 70 or up 50, I still won't play Blount. Victory Cigars are usually fan favorites but not really good.

If you define fan favorite as everyone cheers for the guy because they think he is a joke then yes that Scal is a fan favorite

Jack Haley, a lot of guys may not remember him, but he was very popular with the fans and never really played unless it was 'garbage' time. He played in the NBA for a long time. Some of the more notable teams he played for were the Lakers and Bulls.

Scal was one, until a few weeks before his last concussion.

JYD was huge for the Toronto, but I wasn't as big a fan of him as the rest of Raptor nation. He sometimes played big minutes though, not necessarily a throw-in

Efthimios Rentzias a few years ago with the Sixers....mainly because he's the only European player we've had in......forever
