View Full Version : What is your teams's tradition in the playoffs? What do they wear or have different

For instance, the Bulls adopted in 1989 the custom to change their shoes to the lucky "Black Sneakers" when the playoffs came around.

Even now from 2005-2007 the years we were in the playoffs our team wore the "Black Sneakers"

What is your team's tradition or does your team use the "Black Sneakers" as well? If so, do you know when they started wearing them?

earlier this season, Mike Dunlevy, Troy Murphy, Jeff Foster and Josh Mcroberts all grew mustaches together.

I'm not really sure why though...

What year did the Pacers do that? I thought IIRC it was 1996. That wasn't the case in 1998 or 1999.

Haha. Thats why I said recently cause the past is the past. But I can't think of any things we specifically do in the playoffs. And since people were saying spurs and suns. I'd thought I through Jazz and Rockets in there.

I don't know about the play-offs specific things, but the Lakers wear the white unis whenever they play at home on a Sunday. It's in memory of Chick Hearn I think.

Around '03 I think. They have it for Chuck Hearn.. so a year or so after his death.

I wish they could wear it more often, but they don't. I hope they make it like a playoff jersey or something. But the gold home jerseys are nice too.

Nah, I like the white ones just on Sundays and holidays. I like the gold home unis because they're kind of original, in that no-one else in the league has a home jersey that isn't white.

I think the Heat have worn their black unis at home a few times this season, but I don't think it's a permanent thing.

There is a lot of EVERYTHING here. The other day I was at a bar, and there was about 9 different nationalities in there out of the 20 people there. White, black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, Muslim, and even a real life Native American. It looked like a bar in the star wars movie with different types of aliens from different planets.

But I would not have it any other way. I love L.A.!
