10. Luke Jackson- 2004. Played in 73 total games, and is already out of the league. 4 bench ridden unremarkable years.

9. Mike Sweetney- 2003. Perhaps it was the other talent around him that makes him look like such a horrible pick, especially at 9. But he too is already out of the league, and he wasn’t very good when in the league. He just barely gets the nod over Patrick O’Bryant and Rodney White.

8. Rafael Araujo just edges out Bo Kimble, Lancaster Gordon and Shawn Respert. Randy White, Eric Montross, Adonal Foyle, Rafael Arujao and Mark Macon receive honorable mention. There have been numerous complete busts at the 8th spot, just incredible really.

7. Bobby Hurley takes the cake here, just beatin out Eddie Griffin’s tragic story and Tim Perry.

6. Russel Cross, 45 games in his career, all coming in his first and only season. Don’t know what happened to him, but for a #6 pick, that’s bustastic.

5. Nikoloz Tskitishvili just edges James Ray and Jonathan Bender.

4. Bill Garnett stands pretty alone here. Marcus Fizer was bad, but not that bad.

3. Chris Washburn has this one pretty easily. 72 total games over two seasons. Horrible waste of a #3 pick.

2. I gotta give this to Darko. Not only because of the talent around him, but just because of the horridness of his play. Shawn Bradley gave him close competiton though. Williams also gets a mention here, because quite frankly, 1 year as good as it was, is only 1 year.

1. I gotta go with Kwame. Olowokandi was right there with him, but Kwame has been just terrible.

I only picks 1-10, because i realized that after that, there were a ton, and I mean a ton of bad picks. You expect more out of top 10 picks, these guys did not deliver, or even come close.

this has been talked about enough times

but you still got to wonder what if for a lot of these drafts:
what if the Cavs took Al Jefferson or Josh Smith-how insane would they be right now?
What if the Raptors took Igoudala? Would Vince still be in Toronto?
What if Detroit took Melo? Would they have won multiple championships?
What if the Wizards drafted Gasol? Could Jordan have gone for #7?

he does, but not as bad as those 3 i lised.

adam morrison

I though I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for now, since he's really only played like 1 season.

Quick question I've always wondered. Would you guys say that Len Bias was a bust being #2 in I think 1987 and then dying? I never really knew what would categorize him as a bust or just a tragic story.

He died because of drugs due to character problems. I think that makes him a bust.

i wouldn't put len bias because we don't know what he could have done.. But he was a waste of a draft pick

I pretty much agree but I think Luke Jackson should be higher. He played pretty bad and he only got most of his playing time with the Heat last year.
