View Full Version : Who DOESN'T think OKC will get the #1 pick?

Ok, maybe I'm paranoid, but the NBA lottery seems no more due to chance than squat. Does anyone really believe the #1 pick (= Blake Griffin of the University of OKLAHOMA) will go to ANY other team???

4-5 teams actually have a worse record than OKC.

Hopefully the Kings, but I'd bet they get screwed....they always do. The NBA hates the Sacramento Kings.

I think that they won't. They might trade to get it though, cause blake in OKC would be dynamite with them.

Well, I was being too cagey. Remember when Cleveland was struggling, and LBJ miraculously was picked #1 by the Cavaliers' draw? He was basically FROM Cleveland, right? Will history repeat itself? OU >>>OKC ?

It's up to the NBA. They rig the lottery. If they think its time for the Kings to become a legitimate contender, they'll give them #1.

It's going to take a lot more than Blake Griffin to make us a contender.

Let me say this, If OKC does win it, then I Have and will believe in the conspiracy theory that the draft is not actualy lotery balls. I mean, when lebron, Cleavland native gets Cleavland to get the first pick, Rose and Chicago get the #1 pick, and now OKC.

How could nebody believe the draft is rigged when the year oden and durant came out portland and seattle got the top picks?

he's going to okc one way or the other.in trade or fixing the draft as i believe stern does sometimes(on special occasions),but not always

Although I don't think the lottery is actually fixed I'm still hoping Griffin does end up going to Oklahoma City. I just like seeing crappy teams improve.

I think Thabeet would do the Thunder much better than Griffin. Since the Kings are the NBA's redheaded stepchildren all things point to us not getting that pick, but I think we will. If the Thunder took Thabeet and with their later pick chose Hansbourgh and with their second round pick, chose Chris Johnson out of LSU they'd be VERY scary.

I think they have a chance of getting the number 1 pick whether they win the Lottery or not...Im pretty sure the Kings are very open to giving away Griffin for Rubio + another pick/player. Maby some package deal or something like Griffin + Beno for Rubio + Greene. That would be my dream scenerio at least...

Nahhhhhhhhhhhh, I don't think he can co-exist with Durant, Green, and Westbrook. Too many players over 1 ball.

Kings desperately need interior help. I hope they draft him, so I can go watch them play again. Not a kings fan, but it was a great arena when they were winning with Bibby, Bobby Jackson, Webber, and Divac.

The Wolves will get it. They have 2 PFs in Jefferson and Love, and 4 first round picks. Naturally, they will finally win the lottery after NEVER moving up in history, the one year the consensus #1 is the only position they don't need, and they have 4 picks in the weakest draft in years. I hate my life

And Rubio will decide to stay another year so we'll have a hard time trading down.

Never moving up, that's laughable.

I have a feeling a team like the knicks are going to get real lucky in this draft, the NBA's ratings suck and they need the big markets to step up. OKC will get a top two, knicks will get lucky, and the Kings should be top two. The kings are due
