It really depends on who his compliment is at the center position. But with the right guy, then yeah, definitely.

If Lee would stop being lazy on defense, then I would take him in a flash if my team needed a center.

6' 9" 240 is hardly undersized at PF.

and it obviously doesnt affect him if hes top 2 in the league in double doubles.

Wowwwwww!!!!!! If 6'9" and 240 lbs is undersized for a PF, then I must not know basketball at all!

Talk about one of the most under rated players!

I'll take Bosh, he's the only one of those 3 that actually plays some kind of defence.

Didn't you post this on the Bulls forum?

It just depends who you have on your team. If you have a center like idk, dwight then yeah Lee would work in good. Now if you have a crappy center and a forward I would go with bosh.

Eh....that's debatable. I saw Boris Diaw tear Bosh up for 30 points on 15-21 shooting. Diaw was backing down Bosh whenever he wanted, and when you think Boris Diaw, you don't think dominating post player.

Diaw was a great post player in Phoenix. Problem is when Stoudemire and Shaq are crowding the paint, where do you operate. I always said for the Suns to trade Amare and start Diaw. You'd spread the court better for Shaq, increase your assists, rebounds, 3-pt shooting, and defense . . . by giving up 2-3 pts a game. All under the bridge now, but Diaw is a top 5 power forward. Give him a couple more years starting and all will know this. And I'm not even a Diaw fan. lol

I love Diaw, but he's not a top 5 PF.

This thread is goofy. Of course Lee will cost less, but you're also not going to get as much from him. He's a good player, and he's probably going to get overpaid this or next summer like a lot of big men, so he may not even be a bargain.

It depends on what your team need. If it's a franchise player, Lee's not the man

If Lee signs for anything less than 8 million, then I think he'd be a good option.

Talent wise he isn't close to Amare or Bosh.

Yes he'll be a better value player. But if have a hole at PF and you're pushing for a championship you don't need a good value player, you need the best, and you're going to pay a premium for it. If you've already got the primary pieces and just need decent rebounding and post scoring, I'd probably go with an MLE player rather than the 8-10M/year Lee's probably going to get.

He sucks down the stretch.

Watch the fourth quart of the latest knicks games @ Cavs or the home game vs Magic

Lee is a good role player, but not a franchise player.

Kinda like John Salmons, very effective player, and gets a lot done on the court, and gets good numbers.

But Chris Bosh, and Amare are considered to be Franchise players, and you can't take Lee over those. They just have too much talent.

He can't take over a game like Amare or Bosh can. He is a good player, very fundamentally sound. But he simply is not a superstar like Stat and Bosh are. Lee isn't the type of guy you can rely on to take a game winning shot for your team. Bosh and Amare ARE those type of guys. There is no comparison.

Who is better, Lee or Blake griffin? If the thunder dont get Griffin would they attempt to sign Lee?
