View Full Version : Where do you guys think Rasheed Wallace will end up next season?

Sheed definitely has some game left in him, I would argue another 3 years of solid veteran play. I'm sure at this point in his career, he would love to get another ring. There are plenty of on the brink teams that could uses Wallace's toughness, experience, 3 point shooting, and engery. Where do you guys think he will/should go?

1. San Antonio Spurs. They have been looking for a guy like wallace ever since Robert Horry has retired. Wallace would look nice starting center with Duncan at the 4.

2. Boston Celtics. The Cs would be a completely scary team if they could put KG, Wallace, Pierce and Allen on the floor at the same time.

3. Cavs. Might be the piece that puts them over the top.

4. Lakers. Not fair at all. It also gives them option to trade odom for a "legit" small forward

5. Magic. How can teams match up against a Nelson, Hedu (assuming he resigns), Lewis, Wallace, Howard line up.

6. Nuggets. It would certainly solidify their fronline which is historic for having injuries. It gives the nuggets another 3 point shooter, leader and reunites Wallace with Billups.

7. (Long Shot) Heat. Could Wallace be persuaded to play along side Wade in the sunny Miami.

There were reports that he was interested in coming to SA after the season. I certainly hope he does.

Depends on how much money he wants. I think the best place for him is San Antonio, he's got Matt Bonner's 3 ball and then everything else that Bonner doesn't have. As well as Pop who'll hopefully keep 'Sheed in line. Personally, I'd love to see him in Orlando, but that's have to be a sign and trade or something because I'm pretty sure Orlando is right at the luxury tax line.

I see him being a Spur. Lots of possibilities though.

One thing is for sure; he will not be a Piston.

Spurs. I have little doubt about this.

We could use Sheed. He would be a nice addition considering we need a good big that can shoot the ball.

The Spurs would be the best place for him and his style of play. I salivate at the thought of witnessing such a pairing, it would be great for the NBA.

Bobcats.

I think he'd do well with the Spurs. He's a gritty player, and has range too which opens up things for Duncan (like what Bonner did). Sheed + Duncan with be a force down there to be reckon with.

give the spurs the title if he goes there. being a suns fan this would be enough to get me committed. i might give up on basketball forever.

Spurs or Celtics

Spurs is definitely an option. I really don't see him going to the Celtics seeing how he won't start over there, Perkins has really turned out to be a solid center. In this late stage of his career, he's probably gunning for a championship. Possible options: Cavs, Spurs, or Utah.

Spurs seem suiting, and they are in need of another piece now. Celtics like people have said, but depends on their money situation. Cavaliers too. Basically everyone that's already been mentioned

If Sheed goes to Boston, the over/under on total tech's called against team next season will be +/- 50. Any takers?

Stephen Jackson doesn't have anything on Sheed's ability to draw the "T."

He'd fit perfect in San Antonio.

Pairing Sheed with Timmy will be great...Tim wil play the low post...and Sheed in the high post. They are both unselfish enough to form a great tandem.

Defensively too...as Timmy as the better weakside helper, and Sheed is a better on the ball post defender.

Spurs. Pop and Duncan should keep him under control and motivated. He'd be a great fit beside Duncan. He spreads the floor for the slashers with his 3 point shooting and gives Duncan . Great low-post defender. Spurs would stay in the hunt for a ring.

Of course he wants to play with the Spurs. he'll probably say the Cavs, Celtics , Magic or Mavs. Anybody that has a chance to win. Because chances are very good nobody else will sign him for the money he'll want. As long as he's not in Detroit I really could care less where he plays. He could have been a better player if he had just played the game as a team and not as an individual.Always thinking of himself. One of the best post up players in the game thats refuses to post up. He could average a double double every night . What a waste. Can't wait to see him and Iverson gone from this team. We were headed south the last couple of years but those two just made it quicker. BYE BYE boys. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

I don't think it really matters, I don't see him being a BIG difference maker wherever he goes IMO.

I know he can still play, but my question is does he actually still want to play?? It seems as though ever since he won the title with Detroit in 2004 he's been slacking, almost like he has nothing to play for anymore.

I would think Spurs or maybe the Nuggets if they have the money to sign him. He won't be in Florida or Detroit and I highly doubt he would go to the Celtics.

I think he'll end up in SA, but I will say, I think he could fit in LA. It's not like Phil hasn't dealt with personalities before, and he brings pretty much exactly what LA needs. A great backup for Bynum a knockdown shooter, versatility and most important, Defense in the paint. I doubt it happens, but it's not all that outlandish.

I think he will end up with the Spurs if they don't resign Gooden, if not I think Lakers, Celtics, or Cav's have and outside chance but not likely.
