I have been a life long Iverson supporter. I loved when he crossed over Jordan, I loved the MVP trophies, scoring titles and playoff performances.

But now I have lost all respect for AI. This man has officially quit on his team! How dare you come on to a team and say you are "willing to do whatever to win a ring" and then mysteriously disappear when you are demoted to the bench?

When have you ever seen AI miss this many games? His reputation is a player who can play with injuries and tough it out. But now all of a sudden he can't play with a tweaked back? Give me a break! I no longer consider myself an Iverson fan, quitting on your team is the ultimate wrong.

Why don't you try getting a back injury and try playing with it. If you have ever hurt your back, you would know that there is no way you can play basketball (especially at the NBA level) while it is still hurt. You don't just "suck it up" with a bad back.

AI won't win a championship in Detroit. Maybe after his contract is over he'll take a min vet salary from Boston and win one there. Or maybe even in Cleveland. Imagine AI to LeBron. Or if you really wanna tickle your imagination, AI to Kobe in LA. Probably won't work there cause they are both ballhogs, but it's fun to think about. BOOM.

Um, if Iverson is not playing it's because he cannot play. His back is hurt. Do you really think he would quit on his team, especially in his CONTRACT YEAR? Are you serious? Why would he just not play if he could, when he is going to sign a new contract with a different team next year?

Think about everything before you post.

Also, the reason I think Iverson won't get that ring in Detroit is not because of the same reason twoearl thinks so. It's cause he doesn't have the "supporting cast" to get it done. As much a ballhog I think AI is, in the right situation he can still make plays and get his teammates involved. As odd as it may seem, I think his days in Denver proved a lot of that despite not making it deep into the playoffs.
