Earlier today, Donald Sterling announced he would be selling the Clippers to Steve Wynn, the iconic developer of casinos in Las Vegas. They will now be a private attraction at The Mirage, perpetually hosting a combination of the Harlem Globetrotters and those AND1 guys.
Asked why he decided to sell the team Sterling bluntly replied, "what the hell do I know about basketball?"
We also reached Steve Wynn to ask why he decided to invest in a professional basketball team. "I needed something to bet on," Wynn reasoned.
Replacing the former will be a new-look, D-League Clippers. They will operate as a reserve pool for the Los Angeles Lakers.
