View Full Version : Did you guys just see Paul Pierce?

new guy
03-06-2009, 11:44 PM
Lol, it was hilarious. He was excited towards the end of the game because he knew that they were goint to win. So he was by the fans and cheering, and then he started giving them high fives. But there was a little kid, probably around 10 or 11 with a Cavaliers jersey, reaching out for a high five from Pierce, and Pierce just ignored him. Hopefully somebody caught it so that they could make a funny video about it like the one with Dirk. lol

how do you know if people just started pulling for the celtics? you are a heat fan and you could be called out for only starting to pull for them when they got shaq and wade and won a title. sure a bunch of fans came along with kg but that happens with a player of that caliber. he has always had a huge fan base. there were plenty of us on this forum talking about the future of the celtics with big al, delonte, rondo, gg, and hoping for some good draft picks. the main difference now is all the haters and people starting posts about the celtics in the nba forum.

In 2006-2007 (lottery year pre-KG), we sold out, on average, 91% of the seats to our games. Got bumped up to 100% post-KG trade. Hardly incredible.

Now, the Heat sold just 76% of their seats the two years pre-Shaq (even with Wade on the team for one of them).

Let's use some kind of manner of backing up what you say from now on before you post.

Thats the problem with bandwagon fans/teams, I hate when teams get some success and suddenly people come out of the woodwork claiming they were fans from Day 1. I dont hate the Celtics, I just really dont like Pierce (the reason i dont want them to win), and he keeps increasing this dislike by stupid comments released (im the best in the league, i retire if doc goes).

I've been a Raptors fan since their inception, and have seen a lot of heartbreak and mediocrity in that time; but my commitment to them is unwavering. I remember when VC was here and had all the hype in the world, a lot of people i knew were Raptor fans, 7-8 years later those same people say that they stink. When the Raptors become title contenders, as a true fan, I dont even want those people to be cheering them on due to bandwagon-ness lol.

how do you know that every celtics fan out there is a bandwagon fan? People are being so judgemental when theres fans like me that have been watching this team for the past 10 years. I began watching them when they sucked. When they had walker, mercer, andrew declerq, greg minor, doug overton, tony battie, eric riley..need i go on? Ofcourse theres gunna be some bandwagon fans when a team starts winning, but that would happen anywhere. If the raptors won a championship they would get some to. So its immature to call every celtics fan a bandwagon fan because thats insulting the true diehard celtics fans that have been there through the ups and downs. I know ur a diehard raps fan so would u like it if someone called u a bandwagon fan if they started winning?

We beat them without Z in January.

Home court advantage is crucial to these two teams. The home team has won each of the past fifteen meetings between these two squads.

and when..or should i say IF toronto ever gets good, you will have 343509u8490584 people that all of the sudden come out for them. Its sports, get over it. Its simple economics dude. Why would someone pay alot of money, so go see a medicore "show". Therefor, worse teams dont sell out. WOuld you pay alot of money to go see a bad play?bad movie? No, u wouldnt. Every team that has success has bandwagon fans. That's the way it is.

People aren't going to waste money going to games if their team is tanking the season, like how Boston did a couple of years ago prior to getting KG.

And Cleveland's coaching lost this game. Their game plan was terrible. Boston picked them apart.

Exactly, he was done slapping anyone's hand and turned to walk back to his teammates. It could have been ANYONE standing there.

I don't see anyone mentioning that he didn't high five the girl just to the left of the first guy he slapped hands with or the kid in the green outfit right by that woman.

Well, if Pierce did this on purpose, I think its horrible. Its a kid, you give him five no matter what jersey he is wearing.

Lmao, I found it funny but I feel sorry for the kid. YEah he has a Cav jersey on, but I'd be pissed at Pierce for being an *****.

That doesn't even make any sense. Pseudo-intellectuals... Besides, Paul Pierce is one of the toughest players in the game.

What a jerk. Kids that age don't just love one team or one player. Who cares if the kid was cheering for the other team? He had a chance to make that kid's day and he stood him up. I've lost a lot of respect for Pierce, but he's a ***** anyway so I didn't have much for him in the first place.

That is so bad, but so funny at the same time. If Kobe did this to a Boston kid, they would be calling for his head.

Lol, I thought the samething when I saw it live. The little kid did deserve it though. How can you wear a LeBron jersey then expect a high five?

yea how can you wear the jersey of one of the best players in the game, thus one of the most popular, and expect a high five from a grown man who couldve made that kids day! sheesh!

Bc he is just a kid...

Funny nevertheless, although I am not sure if Pierce saw him.

Who really cares? His job is to play basketball not to make little kids happy by high fiving them. Would it have been nice if he highfived the kid? Sure. Does what he did matter or truly resemble what he is like as a person? No.

Those upset by this are rediculous, it's kind of funny though so whatever.
