Reports today confirm that Garnett will miss at least another week of action. Which means the Celtics won't have him against the Cavs (tonight), the Magic (Sunday), or the Heat (Wednesday). Rough stretch for the Celtics to be without their best inside presence.

YAY!!! :) LOL

Honestly though this sucks for the Celtics and as a Lakers fan since the injury isnt major it makes me happy. We have been without our best inside presence for over a month so I know how it feels. This should secure the Lakers having HCA if they meet boston in the finals again. Hopefully the Lakers can take advantage and win most of their upcomming games.

damnit. I really was hoping he'd be back for that cavs game. I was really looking forward to those teams going at eachother hopefully at full strength.

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has started running on a treadmill but is expected to miss at least another week with a strained right knee.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers said Friday that Garnett reported feeling "great" after running on a treadmill Thursday for the first time since hurting the knee Feb. 19 at Utah.

Rivers said Garnett is still day to day.

Garnett strained the posterior muscle of the knee while going up for an alley-oop late in the first half of a 90-85 loss to the Jazz.

The Celtics are 4-2 without Garnett and host the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.

I think the Celtics can manage for a while without him, they just need him for the playoffs.

It wouldnt bother me if we missed him the rest of the reg season if it meant hes 100% come playoff time. The celtics will not fall below the #2 seed without KG.

we will be fine. at least get 1 win out of those and i wouldnt be suprised to pull out 2. it will close for homecourt but either way kg is going to be rested and reenergized.

the Celtics cannot keep this up without KG. no chance we get homecourt and thankfully its not as important this year to the Celtics.

tonight will be hyped, but it does not mean much unless the Celtics win. no KG, cleveland is expected to win easy and if they dont, it makes much more of an impact.

boston is doing well without him. but you are going to need him in the playoffs.

It's just a precaution. I'd rather get a 2-3 seed and have a healthy team for the playoffs than take our chances with an 85% KG the rest of the way.

A win against Cleveland without him will be HUGE.

if baby, perk, and powe play like they did against clev tonight they will be fine without kg for a few more games.
