I don't know if I've ever seen this before, but this guy has basically averaged the exact same thing for 3 straight years. He's the only big rookie from his draft class to not improve

PPG

1st Year 22.6
2nd Year 22.3
3rd Year 22.5

FG%

1st Year 49.6
2nd Year 49.4
3rd Year 49.1

Assists

1st Year 2.5
2nd Year 2.6
3rd Year 2.4

Blocks

1st Year 1.6
2nd Year 1.0
3rd Year 1.0

Rebounds

1st Year 10.7
2nd Year 8.7
3rd Year 9.6

How can you call Chris Bosh the most consistent player in NBA history? He hasn't even finished half of his career. Have you ever heard of Tim Duncan? He's finished most of his career as one of the most consistent players ever. There are too many people making too many judgments on players too early.

you mean 3rd,4th,5th year and not 1st,2nd,3rd?

bosh actually decreased his rebounding numbers

keithm320
03-06-2009, 02:50 PM
yeah agreed I only used that Title to draw some attention to the fact that there is no variance between his numbers ...

what he meant of consistent is having the exact same stats for years. thats why he gave bosh as an example cuz bosh averaged 22 ppg for 3 straight seasons and will become 4 after this season

Chris Bosh is very good, but not even close to the most consistent player in NBA history maybe one of them in the game today but not even close to NBA history

03-06-2009, 03:21 PM
no tim duncan is, but his stats are pretty consistent, didnt know they were like that and its in his first 3 years which is good....but then again its bad as you cannot call somebody the most consistent player ever after 3 years. you can however say he's consistent, just no the most consistent ever

mitch91
03-06-2009, 03:22 PM
consistency can also be a bad thing....for example kwame brown is consistently crap lol

b_rad23
03-06-2009, 03:51 PM
He's saying he's consistant as in he has not improved or declined pretty much at all in his career. It's a bad thing not a compliment in case people are failing to understand.

keith closs was 10 times more consistent

IndyRealist

Yes, he's consistently good. But he also hasn't gotten any better, as opposed to a player like Lebron who's steadily increase his numbers and workload each year, or Danny Granger who transitioned from 3rd option to 2nd option to 1st option. It'd be sad to think such a young and talented player is already maxxed out.

the most consistent thing about him is his lack of defense every year

Too bad he can't be so consistent in the playoffs, where he has fared horribly.

Actually being a guy who has watch every game he has played in his career, missed a couple maybe but ,he improved alot at the start of the season he came out on fire and took his game to a new level for sure but since Sam Mitchell was fired and his team turned into **** he has regressed, injuries may have a small part in it or fatigue from the olympics and so many minutes at the start. But I just think with his team playing so bad his hearts not as into it.But to say he peaked is just not so he still has alot of improvement to his game.

I would actually disagree, quite strongly. I think it's quite arguable there are 5 better PF's in the leauge. Ducan anc KG, obviously. But Pau and Dirk I think are better, and it's arguable that Amare and/or Al Jefferson are better.

look at you kids...

Have you ever seen a raptors game?
And so what if Bosh is consistent. The reason he is consistent is becuase we have other players that can score too, its not only Bosh. We let other players in our team to have a chance. Plus we aint a one man team like most of the other teams. Bargs can score, Joey can score, Marion can score, Jose can score... you want me to keep going?
So get your stuff striaght you dumb kids.

Plus look how many years Bosh been in the nba and look how many years Tim duncan has been in the nba... Then compare...

Too many young kids coming on posts thinking they know what they talking about... so childish...
